by S Ramanujam on Sep 10, 2007 08:40 PM

Forgive me fans.

I am sorry I called Romesh Powar Kala Bhains.

I called Rahul crossbreed and that Kannadigas cannot be relied upon.

I express my heartfelt sympathy and unconditional apology for my remarks like this.
I admit that I have done a great mistake.

Actually I smoked one potful of Marijuana and then finished one full bottle of country liquor.
Under the spell of these intoxicating things I ccommited an offence.
Please forgive me Rahul lovers and Romesh lovers.
Excuse me please.

Unfortunate that England played 12 people and India played 11 !!!
by Josyula Murthy on Sep 10, 2007 01:03 PM  | Hide replies

It is very expected that cunning Ganguly can never make good in final/deciding matches. It is seen is world cup as well as now. Unfortunately Tendulkar and Dravid are given out by the 12 th person of England Team. Snickometer\'s sound is nothing but the ball hitting his PAD. NOT THe BAT ALL.

What is happening to our future talent ?? Dhoni/Yuvi, Uthappa and Ganbhir ?????

yaa...man i had been to Lords to watch that match ..it was dream come true for me ..but o.k apart from that....as you rightly mentioned ganguly played as expected...and England is playing with 13 person 12th was umpire and 13th was extra runs offered free by indian bowlers...i was sitting behind deep midwicket..and to be very honest the body language of indian players was too pathetic...not at all...any time in a mood to fight back...they are simply playing because they have to...none of them was showing a fighting sprit..i am very very much disappointed to see that..on that same ground i have seen Austrila palying and there body language it was too aggressive...they are the true warriores and true deserves...note that i am not against india but thry have to improve a lot in app part most importantly mentaly to fight...jeet ka jaazb under say aana cha hi yey...

My one day team should be...
by Manoj Joseph on Sep 10, 2007 12:10 PM

The one day team for the next world cup should be...

1. V. Sehwag (hope he will gain his
destructive form back)
2. R. Uthappa
3. M.S. Dhoni (wk & captain)
4. Yuvraj Singh
5. Mohd. Kaif
6. Suresh Raina
7. Irfan Pathan (vice captain) (hope he will
get back form)
8. Ramesh Pawar
9. Piyush Chawla
10. Zaheer Khan / Munaf Patel
11. R.P. Singh / S. Sree Santh

The four fast bowlers at sl. number 10 and 11 should be rotated and selected according to the pitch conditions / availability.

It is more or less sure that the big three (Dravid, Tendulkar and Ganguly) and Agarkar will be out of the team by 2011... So, they are not included.

Any comments??

Ganguly's true colours
by radio mirchi on Sep 10, 2007 12:04 PM

Put few short pitches deliveries, and u see his agressiveness. I can't stop laughing at the way he plays such deliveries. This so called great player even after getting 3-4 lives, can not play a decent innings shows his true colors. Anybody on earth shd have utilised such opportunities and given a good start. One more notable thing is he never wants to give strike to the partner. And never intends run quick singles or twos. I think it is time for Gongu to retire

Sachin and Sourav both have intetionally not played. Hence this defeat! Our three wins come from their 100 runs partnerships!

You are a great thinker MR.Gundappa. Are u a astrolger ? India lost the match due to poor umpiring decisions. Why are u blaming sachin. He played superbly in the series.Have u seen the match ?How he got out ? Don't write stupid sentences and make laugh others. We won the matches whenever the partnerships came ie 2nd ,5th,6th ODIs .IF Aleem Dar was perfect in his decisions India would have scored 300 runs again.

Support India...Blame Aleem Dar

In the final ODI, England bowlers continuously tested Sourav on his known weakness - short pitched bowling. It was pathetic to see him play these short balls, unable to or unwilling to duck and weave out of their way and build an innings. Eventually, however, it was not a short pitched delivery which got him out, but a ball going away which he edged.

It will be hard however, to seek his removal from the team beacuse of this one failure, after he has done very well in the interest of the team in several of the matches he played after his recall last year.

As to Tendulkar, he seemed to have hit a purple patch in his ODI career in the last 4 years, failing to score hundreds atleast on three occasions and scoring at a good strike rate in the current series generally.

Unfortunately for him and Team India, umpire Aleem Dar rushed to give him out when he wasn't.

So to say that Sourav and Sachin have intentionally not played (well?) is to forget history and to be uncharitable.

Even I do not agree. Tendulkar was out due to poor umpiring. Ganguly as always can not play short pitched deliveries. This is the fact. But what about our great batting line up.What about our future promises like Dhoni,Uttappa,Yuvi. The team has shown their true colors. Finally to win any match there is a heavy dependency on Sachin and Saurav on opening and Dravid on stabilising the innings. When they get retired let us see how the team performs.

Cunning Dravid
by pushpak sarkar on Sep 10, 2007 06:08 AM  | Hide replies

Dravid made such a big fuss after scoring a duck in the final ODI by umpire Aleem Dar ..

Unfortunately snickometer later confirmed Dravid was out fair and square...so no lame excuses from Dravid anymore and he later admitted at a press conference..that he was given OUT correctly by the umpire.

LOSER!!!!!!!
