Big fan of cricket but not big expectations from Indian team
by Chirag Majmundar on Sep 11, 2007 02:24 PM

As you know, India is allergic of winning finals, I am not sure even if we think of reaching that level.Frankly speaking I m not expecting much from this team, few wins against Zim, Kenya, PAK, and Kiwis, should be enough.
I would be happy if they do better for sure.
Let us see. All the best guyz in blue.

West rules!
by K Chandru on Sep 10, 2007 08:11 PM  | Hide replies

Under the chairmanship of Vengsarkar, it's the west zone cricketers (from Mumbai, Maharashtra, Baroda) who get chances despite not doing anything to rock the world in domestic cricket. Poor Badrinath (who is already 27), Yomahesh, Venugopal Rao and others from south would end up being in the fringe of selection and not making it quite there. `wonder how Sehwag and Harbhajan earned their places back? Did they do anything noteworthy after being dropped? I wish another drubbing and the team biting the dust yet again with such partisan attitude ruining the larger interests of the game.

Stop crying dude.Yomahesh n Badrinath are POOR, you got that RIGHT.They dont deserve to be in the team like Karthik(ODI) and Uthappa(ODIs, his score before the 47 not out was 13 runs in 14 innings).
Stop this stupid regional wailing, you dont represent South Indians.

sehwag
by SANDEEP RAI on Sep 09, 2007 06:48 PM

i am sure he will make big impact bcos he is the fighter.my only advise to him is curb ur shots & play defencievely to get big score & cement ur place in indian team.bcos mr sarkar as a chairman needs players of his calibre & not match winners.
