Apart from Tendulkar, Ganguly's innings is also importaint in England. Ganguly has also played importaint innings supporting tendulkar and with Ball as well. Ganguly showed to Chappel what he is desite being bugged by chappel and press. DADA YOU HAVE SHOWN WHAT YOU ARE

stop talking about personal performances.. Sachin-Ganguly's pair is the best pair in the world when in form.. It was total team work in batting..I wish they do the same in fielding..

You are right. I'm a huge Sachin fan and I'm crazy regarding him, but Ganguly also contributed a lot on yesterday's win. I like Ganguly attitude after his comeback, he's been very humble on and off field.
uthappa played heroic inning in the end. but what everybody forgot to mention abt his fielding. he was hitting the wkts with direct throws regularly n was also instrumental to run out in-form luke wright. good to see such direct hits.
agarkar is not successful bowler. To make you beleive, here are other former players from all over the world described Agarkar as
Arjuna Ranatunga " Agarkar is once in a 20 match bolwer. He might win you one or two game, but always make team suffere in rest of thr 19 matches because of his inconsistency and loose balls during pressure situation"
Geoffrey Boycott " Agarkar bowls for oppostion. After taking a wicket, instead of putting pressure to a new batsman, he comes with a load of rubbish"
Wasim Akram " Its sadening to see, in such a talented country of 1 billion, India always have to rely on Agarkar time and again with lack of producing fast bowlers"

Ranatunga said that about his test match record...Boycot anyways doesnt like him from what I have seen and Akram's comments dont even say about agarkar..Akram says it's bad for india they dont have young talent.. Opinions are like butts..everybody has one..You have one; I have one too.. Whats the big deal..He is aggressive; unsuccessful this series but still a wkt taker throughout his career..Only hope for future is Sreesanth who himself goes for so many runs in ODIs.. So let Agarkar go..

Martin Crowe " India always talk of promoting new blood, but I am glad to see Agarkar make comeback in every series. Every new series is a comeback for this man. This shows the kind of talent India has amongst producing fast bowlers
i feel pity for the third most successful bowler for india in one dayers , the way he has bowled and got treatment (6.8 approx. economy rate for the series) from english batsmen, but i feel the poor fielding efforts by india and droping catches also responsible for agarkar"s poor performance though i agrre agarkar has failed in thisseries but he should play in the final at lords .

Agarkar is no bowler, I can understand bowler being unlucky to get bunch wickets in each game but I can't understand bowler not able to bowl 6 balls in the same area, especially since you are player playing at this level for more than 8 years and 150 odd matches. Give any other bowler form the ranji circuit a chance.......... GET BACK IRFAN PATHAN ATLEAST HE CAN BAT BETTER if his bowling fails him

RE:Mr. Dravid, how many times will you get your tactics wrong ?
by Vivek Pai on Sep 06, 2007 09:12 PM
True, Dravid has failed miserable and if England has secured 3 wins,he is very much responsible. He seems to be a match late in making tactics. In fact but for some spirited performances such as Sachin/Saurav in last 2 matches and Uthappa in this match,we may well have been 5-1 down. First match blunder:Won toss and chose to field. In a chilling day when conditions were good for batting in afternoon of a day-nighter,we always had our backs to the wall.Corrected the move in next ODI and we WON. Third ODI blunder:Chose Munaf in place of Agarkar and dropped agarkar knowing Munaf's fitness and fielding ability.Eerytim ball goes to him,its 1 run more conceded. Fourth ODI blunder:Inspite of getting 7 wickets early,we did not finish the English? Why did he not bowl Ganguly then?Ganguly bowled n next match and he was MOM (secured 2 wickets) Decision to bowl yuvi for last over almost cost us the sixth odi too.Dravid, please be a thinking captain and beat Collingwood in tactics. If for every match, captain gained one point,Collingwood is about to clean sweep THE WALL (leading 6-0)

Hey Makwana, India would do better consistently in ODIs, if we replace Sachin with a younger all-rounder. Do you have a statistics, how many splip catches our oldies missed in this series. They've terrible agility while fielding, this discourages our bowlers tremendously. In cricket, batting is only one aspect which happened to be getting all the attentions, because of the money floating around it. Bowling and fielding is equally important in maintaining consistent performance of a team. Tendulkar used to bat well, but Team India never used to win consistently. Whenever there are too many batsmen (especially seniors), it looks like Team India's strategies always revolves around batting, and we bowl and field poorly or those aspects gets lower priority in their training. I don't care if Sachin is a great batsman or if he scores century, or not. All that matters is, how much does he contribute to the overall performance of the team. For that you need to consider, how many ctaches, people like him misses and how many runs they concede while fielding and bowling.

WHY? do u want india to lose like WC again? Ganguly-Uthapa..Ganguly-Sehwag opened..rememebr???? It's Sachi who brings the success to batting..
The great Tendulkar while talking during presentation cermony praised the batsemen who contributed to the chase except Uttappa.Though it looks like a small thing it just shows how narrow minded he is . He just saved the importance for Utappa's innings without which he would'nt have received the MOM.Had he just given one word of praise how elated could the young lad would have been. But chosing not to do that he just showed he does not have a big heart.

Nobody would have obsereved keenly about such insignificat thigs.Every body reacting emotionally here are supposed devotees of Sachin. He took names of all the batsmen in order but missed out Uthappa.Even if he deliberately chose to ignore or forgot to mention it reflects his character & attitude. As the old saying goes" if character is lost everything is lost".

Any ways congratulations of the big 3 of Indian cricket for now each of them have one MOM in their name. What an era for having 3 great players each with over 10,000 runs in all forms of game playing together. All of them blessed with great will power in common.Wonder about futre of Indian cricket which is banking on strong batting all these days when once these 3 call it a day?
