i think even editor of the rediff mail is sich, uneducated, irresponsible, thats why he allows everything , right r wrong stats, everything is being allowed to post, i think this editor also has just simple gradutaion degree, having diploma of 6 month to 1 yr, n by reference of some1 has been appointed as editor, You are requested to work responsibly, if u had been in any private organisation u hu would have been thrown out till now
The victory was well achieved. It was a team effort. The foudation laid by Sachin and Ganguly with a partnership of 150 was strong enough to support the pillars which were built on it.Gambir's half century again showed his temperment. There are people who argue that his was a slow innings. But at that stage his staying at the crease was more important. The partnership with Uthappa by Dhoni was scored at a very fast pace.So Dhoni's innings was also worth. Then the icing on the cake...Utthappa's superb innings. He was very confident of steering India to victory. That was the reason why he did not run for the second run in the last ball of the 49th over. Also those 2 shots for boundaries in the 50th over showed that he had a cool aswell as a thinking head. And last but not the least his batting at no.7 was a right decision taken by Dravid. Overall a great team effort...Keep it up.Do well on saturday...India will win the series 4-3
i think india won because sachin couldn't make his century... thank god he was out on 94 or else for making just 6 runs he would had played 20-30 balls.. Thats why india won.. Cheers india.. it became neck to neck as India got more balls to play thanks to england bowler, he should be credited to India's victory

Dont be so naive...He made those 94 in less than run a ball. That was the foundation on which Uttappa,Dhoni and Gambir built their structure. And who knows,If Sachin had scored 100,he would have cut loose and smashed the ball all over the ground. Please dont post such biassed comments....

Please Sivray try to respect great players . All know what sachin is. Keep the sportsman sprit. Think if would he had made those hundreds it would be very hard for anyone to level or cross it, not even Ponting, again one of the best batsman, who always dreamt to overcome sachins record.
All Indian fans need to remember that less than a year ago Sri Lanka beat a full strength England 3-0 in tests and 5-0 in ODIs in England. And here we are hooting and hollering about ekeing out wins against a largely inexperienced English side. So typical of us to get carried away.

so mr. nihar u would say that there should be no joy in winning the series or one day games. in that way if india wins the world cup dont celebrate because australia has already won it three times so what the BIG DEAL OF WINNING THE WORLD CUP only the second time

No Trivedi Ji, that is not the point. We Desi fans have a way of chest thumping for a minor victory and beating our breast for an inconsequential loss. We hype our players when they win, and kick their asses when they are down. Even with this victory we are still an average team, the big 3 nothwithstanding (Sachin, Saurav, Rahul).

Awright guys, I goofed up on the test stats, but still SL won 5-0 in ODIs. Just no gaali galoz. Anyway, here's wishing Team India all the best for tomorrow's match. I think India has England on the ropes, now it has to deliver the knock-out punch.

still winning is always better than losing. Dismissing achievements as nothing is a typical psychological disorder arising out of inflated ego.

Its true that we get carried away by victories. But a win is a win.Do not look at it as something of no significance. It was a good, earned victory.A victory of true charachter.

by the nihar, check your stats SL didn't win test series 3-0 but drew it 1-1. As far as one day series concerned at that time English one day outfit was un-organised but now they are building good team under collingwood. Don't just critisez for the sake of it. And that too giving wrong stats.
Indian vicory is superb and will remain superb whether you acknoledge or not.
Hey Look at this Career Stastics Agarkar v/S I Pathan
Agarkar ODI - Mat 191,Runs 1269, Avg. 14.58, Econ 5.07, Wts. 288, 50's -3
Pathan ODI - Mat 73,Runs 1006, Avg. 25.15, Econ 5.02, Wts. 115, 50's - 5.
Pathan's Test record also is far more better than Agarkar.
So what can be the reason Agarkar is choose ahead of Irfan Pathan. If you see any stastics between Pathan and Agarkar, its clear that Irfan Pathan is far more better than Agarkar. Selectors????????????????????

Totally agree with you dude,Pathan is anyday better than Agarkar. They say Agarkar started playing cricket as batsman, but how many times have you seen him bat sensibly. On the contrary, even if Pathan has a bad day with the ball,he makes it up with his batting.

In the last four years, during which he has played in 13 finals, he has been on an all-or-nothing mode - he has nine scores of less than 30, only twice has he made it past 40, but on each occasion he made it count, going on to get a century. I do not know why someone told like this %u201CGood players should retire when they are in top%u201D. Is this not selfishness? When you are in good form you have to give your efforts to your country for winning all the matches. Only if you are tired and not in good form you should consider retiring. Do not worry about other morons. In that sense, no one can write me off. I will score 50 tons in ODI & 50 in Test matches., that too all for winning cause. If any one dares, just match me at least in running between the wickets. You will not get up for 6 months.

Yes! you are right. Sometimes i think who after SACHIN? When he is in full form it is like GOD playing on the ground. it is a real feast to watch. He is simply exceptional!
