Roger Binny is not the right choice. He was neither good with the bat or the bowl.Luckily the conditios in England suited him and he did very well there. He was a good cricketer but never known for his consistency.

Good Question...

People in India have a very short memory as they say.

Remember the Natwest Final?
Remember the match against Zimbabwe where India were embarassed at 80/5 and Kaif scored 111 with Kumble on the other side?
Remember the Pakistan tour 2004 where India were chasing 294 at Lahore and Dravid and Kaif did the needful?

If you know this then comment

It's time to groom youngsters
by Sreeram Ramaswamy on Sep 04, 2007 02:56 PM  | Hide replies

It's about time that BCCI and the media gets away from focussing on Sachin, Sourav & Dravid. We have 100s of youngsters all over the country training hard and eagerly waiting for a chance to perform at various levels. It's time that we look beyond the trio. There are many in the making of Sachin, Shewag, Dhoni, Yuvraj etc. Lets build on them. It's better to use their talents for Team India and win matches than allow them to keep playing away from the media glare, languishing at local matches.

Cheap tricks of journalism
by Sparrow on Sep 04, 2007 02:17 PM  | Hide replies

This is called cheap journalism. To the question "/Will Team India miss ... Sachin Tendulkar/" Binny has said (read the entire interview) "/I don't think so./" and then he has gone on saying we may miss Sachin/'s batting. A fair analysis. His fielding, running between the wicket, and bowling are not suitable to 20-20 game. But the rediff reporter has twisted Binny/'s opinion and has titled the interview article thus: "/'We may miss Tendulkar at Twenty20'/". This is irresponsible journalism.

First of all I want to say something on behalf of your comment .....see sachin is capable or not ..this is not a big matter ...but the way we all criticise him ..that's really cheap ..dont talk about jounalism ..it reflect voice of ur own society ..they say wat u love to listen ..far from fact n reality !! Sachin is ofcourse capable of playing any level of cricket either its 20-20 or 50 over limited match or five days test ...He has prooved this so many times ...but our problem is wat ..we expect more n more from him ..why dont u blame dravid for his poor batting show .below far his own set standard in past ..as a caption ..he raises lots of doubtfull decision ...turning next Azahar ????God knows ..but few has such thoughts for sure ...forget sachin ..who is capable to play 20-20 ..tell me ..ur sehwag , yuvraj , karthik , dhoni ???? except yuvraj ..none is actually on behalf of strike rate.Dhoni is technicaly worse n uncertain to score runs always .And dont forget most of other team have same those experienced players of their side .20-20 is exciting ..but there too ..u need technic n placing better than power ..powerfull strokes can be prevented by clever bowling ..if bowler has enough international level experience .
