We can win the series.
by sai krishna on Sep 05, 2007 02:41 PM

One win after two losses and they now aim for series win. Actually speaking, from here if we win the series it is a great achievement. Presently,it is Cricket Season in England there are number of One Day tournaments, and 20-20 games are played there right now. All the England players have played atleast 10 to 15 One Day matches before the start of the series. Even at the time of Test-series it was seen that Englang playes representing their Counties in One day matches between test matches. So they are in touch and in form right now. And they also have home side advantage with them.
Our Cricket Season starts after Rainy season from October and continue up to the end of April. In this period we have Ranji Trophies or Deodhar trophies and all. We have picked up players from their performance in Last year matches and hardly they have any One Day practice matches or leage matches or serious One day matches in India after World Cup except few matches with Bangladesh and all of u know our players dont waste their time, they immediately get in touch with advertising agents and do 2 to 3 advertisements in this little period to get some money. I think God only can save our team in 20-20 World Cup.

Self motivation and Belief in our abilities is the Key!!
by chandra sekhar on Sep 04, 2007 06:33 PM

To my understanding at some corner Indian's lack self belief and are not self motivated. This is because occationally whenever they win by some fluke they tend to keep winning in the same stream. But, when they start loosing, they do that for a long time before they recover.

This problem can only be reduced in case every sports person in India believes in themselves and motivates themselves first. This is the key for any success. Blaming someone for our failures, often destractions not related to the sport being played are some of the elements to be avoided. In case these types of issues are taken care other issues can be addressed.

Politics and evil play in any area normally center around the best. When you believe in yourself and your abilities you tend to become the best and prefect in the trade which you are performing you will be the best. This happens to be the key for your success.

Obviously in a globalized world no best effort can be hidden. And there are many who require the best. Examples are always before us. Like the BCCI/ICL. BCCI has not recognized some good players and their performances over a period of time (As said by Great Kapil recently) and then came the ICL which is ready to recognize the efforts. Who knows ICL may end up in forming a second body world wide and become like FIFA and UEFA of cricket. Who knows there will be many crickets who are recognized in future for their talent. Who knows someone is planning for Hockey in the same lines.

STRATEGICALLY SHREWED
by vaibhav kumar on Sep 04, 2007 05:41 PM  | Hide replies

Dravid as a captain needs to be strategically shrewed. He need not to work hard to look positive and energetic on the field. I think two aspects are there, where Rahul needs urgent improvisation,

One is physical aspect, i.e., body langauge and
Second is mental aspect, i.e., tactically shrewed and thinking proactively

We can win the matches easily then which we otherwise win by just margin. And even if they loose, they will not break heart of Indian cricket lovers.

cheers

He is not fit to be a captain. He very stubbron without any logic he keeps on choosing the players who, everyone knows, that cant score. for example gambir. He is making big msitake by keeping Uttappa away from playing 11.Thats shows Dravid is not aggressive at all.We all know whats the capability of Uttappa.Indian team were on its high when he used to open, he used to make match one sided within no time.I dont think Gambir will be able to do that ever.Last but not least. We can expect magics from Uttappa, but dravid wants him to be on bench.
