Thatz right. Don't understand the rationale of Pawar's visit to UK.

He better manage his portfolio to improve the plight of farmers in India.

After all, he is Pawar, not Power
by Padmanabhan S on Sep 02, 2007 06:47 PM

Mr Sharad Pawar visiting Headingly will not make any difference. He is after all 'Pawar, only and we should not be misled into believing that he is capable of infusing some 'power' into the Indian cricket team. The fielding coach could not so far teach our players what fielding is. The bowling coach failed to teach our bowlers what bowling is all about. Since there is no batting coach, we should not blame our batsmen. Is Mr. Sharad Pawar going to make up for all these shortcomings of Indian cricket?

Dravid, the Captain
by Padmanabhan S on Sep 02, 2007 06:42 PM

While playing under the other captains, Rahul Dravid used to have a breakfast of overs during batting, in the name of settling down. Everyone knows that he is not a one day stuff, except Dravid himself. How else can one explain Dravid coming in to bat at No.6 at the end of 44th over of Indian batting? All other batsmen, including Zaheer Khan would prove better at that point of time. Just because Sharad Pawar has decided to watch the proceedings at Headingly, it does not mean that Rahul Dravid should take such atrocious decisions like coming in to bat during slog overs. He was never given an opportunity to know what a 'slog' over is, after all!

We Will Get The Success
by Manabendra Samal on Sep 02, 2007 01:18 PM

We know that mistakes can happen by human only and our players are human, so we can not blame them just by sitting at home, we should remember that these are the guys who are having n number of records in the world.
And we should remember that they are out side the country and we should support them.
