It's a step in the right direction.....
by K Chandru on Nov 02, 2007 10:09 PM

Team India and the game of cricket are bigger than any individuals; be it Dravid, Sachin or Ganguly. These individuals only made a name, fame and fortune for themselves through the game and the game would have still survived even without them. These crorepatis haven't done more service or sacrifice than the BSF jawans guarding our boundaries for a peanut salary. As I have been writig here a zillion times, no sentiments need to be attached to these individuals. Love the game and not the individuals. Afterall, what these men have given us back are disappointments and despairs. We wasted our precious time hoping they'd play well, win matches and were let down on more occasions than not. It's time, young blood is infused and the team for the future is built. Afterall all these stalwarts haven't helped India gain top spot. It's time, youngsters like, Tiwary, Raina, Badri, Ohja, YoMahesh and Piyush are given a longer run and time to settle down and deliver. Our emotional attachment to these ageing stalwarts is only denying the youngsters their much deserved opportunities. I'd welcome a bold measure like a young test squad being fielded against the visiting Pakistanis and they forming the core os the team to play test cricket against the Ausies later. But, that'll be the wildest imagination to be ever made knowing well the selectors and the board.

Marenge Dannda
Welcome
by Marenge Dannda on Nov 02, 2007 08:02 PM  | Hide replies

Welcome intelligent supporters of rahul Dravid.
Rahul is a very interesting and flamboyant player.
He all along stood by Ganguly and players who were respectful to Ganguly.
He had no role to play in the conspiracy against Ganguly.
He rather wanted to keep Saurav always in the team.
He on the field always took advice from Saurav.
He never wanted to promote Raina or Pathan up the order to seal the palce left by Ganguly.
He never declared an innings with just 4 runs left for Sachin to get an well deserved 200.
All the player young or old always enjoyed a sense of security during his regime.
All these reasons contributed to Dravid's tremendous success in the last ODI world cup.
Dravid supporters are the only intelligent people in the world. My salute goes to all of them.

Do u know that the average of Dravid is the lowest amongst the non-minnows i.e Australia,Eng, W.Indies,S.Africa,N.Zealand,Pakistan & Srilanka.
Dravids Average is 32.4
Sachins is 34.4
Gangulys is 34.6
This shows that Dravid has benifitted the most from minnows. There is nothing wrong about that just that, u and most of the Dravid fans keep spreading complete misinformation which is what i am talking against.
If have the ba.ls just prove me wrong, go and check any site which gives records.
And shut ur mouth for ever in future that Ganguly scores only against minnows.
I have been noticing u for sometime and u r suffering from a metal desease pls get urself treated.
To add to that Dravids average against Australia is just 24. Despite these figures, Dravid is a very good one day player and a all time great test player. I dont mislead or misuse stats just to support favourite cricketers.

Dear Dannda,

You are rightly called "Danda head"

Either you must have been in Dravid's company all the time to place the blame for all above on him.

Or you are a rumour-monger

Don't you see things clearly at all? Even the opposition is full of praise for Dravid. Yet you his own countryman is too willing to slag him down...shame on you

Please stop the discussion board.
This board, now a days is misusing by anti national's by abusing individually, regionaly, religionaly. This is going to a big treat for future of nation. Young generation is going to estimate/ evaluate on the basis of the discussion of board (from the way of the messages which view on this board, it seems), which is not at all a good.

Yunis missing Dravid
by Gandhi on Nov 02, 2007 12:16 PM

Even Yunus Khan is going to miss Dravid. But Yunus Bhai he will for sure there in Test matches. I can imagine the relief you people enjoy to have Dravid as opposition in ODI's as he very gentle batsman and not a butcher like Segwag, Dhoni and Yuvraj.
