Today, in india Sachin Tendulkar Aka Little Master is treated as a demi god...
But unfortunately the demi god has not helped india lift a single World Cup which is every indians Dream....Why this dint happen ???
Now all supporters will come back and say that its a team game and everyone has to contribute and stuff like that....
But he is a demi god so cant he do this for his country...Did he ??? Can he ??? Will he ????

Beleive it or not!!It was Sachin, who took India to the finals of 2003 WC. Rest of the team could have atleast won that one match for India, which they did not!!

Cricket is not a one man show. India required good alrounder to win the world cup. However, suchin did his maximum best in S/A there india reached final (suchin scored more than 600 hundrs runs) in india world cup there he scored more than 500 runs.

Dont forget these facts,

I don't think anybody (other than media) really treats him like a demi god anyway. Most people purely love him for his merit. As you yourself mentioned, its a team game and at the end of the day batsmen have to make more than their bowlers concede. We did actually come very close to winning WC in 2003. There is no such thing called demi-gods!Everyone is human and fans must understand this. With Lara as one of the greatest player on its side, WI sinked to the bottom list. This happened because "ITS A TEAM GAME!". The consistancy can only be seen by AUS players. Gilchrist, Ponting, Hayden, Symonds, Clark don't have their best days in every match. But they manage to have atleast 3 batsmen and 3 bowlers playing good cricket in every match. It doesn't matter even if 5 players had worst day! With more wins their morale remains high and other 5 players can agian bounce back in another game. This makes lot of difference. India doesn't have this felxibilty. For example, Ganguly and Dravid are great players but poor strike rate. Ganguly relies on 4s and 6s, but has poor running between the wickets. This offsets his scoring rate! Bowlers are not much economical or really threatening either. So, even medicore batsmen from other teams find it easy to make runs.

Simply because he is better than any other players. He can atleast take us to some respectable position. India has more chances of winning if there are more Sachins in the team! Spit out all your venom and you will see that he stands their because of his merit. No need to consider him demi god! But as a fine cricketer and a human being. He may have bad days like all of us. But on his his day he threatens best bowlers around the world. Ask any youngster in the team and he will tell you Sachin helps him on and off the field. Even his experience and presence boosts players moral.

But time moves on and we also have to move on from sachin. Let him play test matches no problem but for one day team we need a young team for next world cup.

Who are you to let him or someone else to play world cup? Sachin is there because of his merit and he has proved his one day form in England and again against Aus. Lara, Steve Waugh, Gavaskar, Jaysuriya all played till late. As long as he is performing noone should have any problems. If he runs into problem, he will surely be rested like Dravid and Ganguly. But he is still better than other indian players. I don't see any problem if he plays 2011 WC for India.

For 2011 WC you want Sachin in the team...Well i think he has contributed a lot to indian cricket and i think its time for him to give chance to young playes to play...I dont know if you know this fact or not...Robin singh got a chance to play only in his early thirties and i beleive that you would agree that robin is a great player but could not play more cricket...lets not make mistakes again and again man... i dont have any grudges towards the little master but then there is a limit boss....

Whom are you comparing with? No doubt Robin was a good player but you can't just compare him with Sachin. Sachin is still top performer in the team. He is just 34 and youngest among India's big 3. Lara retired at 38! What's ur problem? Youngsters still have lot more places to prove themselves. The truth is he is performing well and asking for his retirement when he is performing well is ridiculous! In fact he himself said, he will retire from ODI before retiring from test matches. So, he might retire at suitable time anyway! Who are you to decide his limits?

Good that you got it now! The truth is our youngsters are only good enough for 20-20. They just don't have enough talent play longer version games. Sachin is only 34 and Lara retired at 38. As long as Sachin is performing, there is no question of his replacement. He will retire when he wants to.

The dropping of dravid has cleary shown that a mumbai lobby exists. Agrakar who has got so many chanes inspite of not performing proves it.
Tendulkar has never been dropped inspite playing badly in so mnay matches.
Dravid has been a selfless player and his dropping is a sad moment in Indian cricket.

I dont think so .. but even if it did I wud not be surprised ..

Regarding Agarkar .. he got chances due to his excellent start .. he was the bowler who scalped 50 wickets in the least number of matches (in the world) .. He had a good yorker .. decent pace and he could swing the ball ..

Thr hv seldom been consistent bowlers in our team .. Srinath / Kapil being the only probable exceptions .. Even Srinath / Prasad had several off days ..

Tendulkar has always had his bat talking for him .. Form is temporary .. but Class is permanent .. Its not the Lobby but Tendulkar's class which has kept him in the team...

Meanwhile, there hv been several mumbai players who hv been picked and dropped .. Kambli, Amre etc. Its not that Mumbai players get special treatment! Lets stop this talk of regional lobbies .. might be some truth in it .. but it hurts and we should not blame things unless we know the truth ..

Having said that ... DRAVID BEING DROPPED IS A SAD MOMENT FOR INDIAN CRICKET .. He indeed is a selfless player and deserves his place in the side .. I am relatively sure he will get his place back in the sider after a good match in the Ranji Trophy against Mumbai!

His Sixes at Sharjah, his batting in WC 2003 against Shoaib Akhtar, the first batsman to have Tricolor flag on his Helmet, his Valiant effort at Chennai test against Pakistan, his 200 against aussies in Melbourne, his 152 agains Aussies in their own cuntry against McGrath, Warne n Gillespie n there are lots more he has inspired the whole generation. Ramesh / Imran,

Sachin doesnt need to have a lobby to ensure that he has a place in the side .. He lets his bat do the talking instead of the lobby...

Look at his stats ...

In the last 100 ODI's he has played .. his average is 45.19 which is slightly above his career average of 44.23! So stop complaining that he has not done anything significant recently ... His centuries in this period have come against Paki's, Windies, Aussies, NZ etc.

CRAZY PUBLIC AND CRAZY ADMINISTRATORS ...

We dont know how to treat these greats! I question myself many a time .. Whether we really deserve to have such a great player in our team ..

Imran,

Do u watch only World Cup matches? World cup isnt everything for cricket .. It is just an important tournament .. and as u wud know Sachin alone cant win u the world cup u need a few consistent performers ...

He has been playing well in all world cups especially the 2003 and the 1996 world cup .. In 2003 we were just a whisker away .. but bowlers like Zaheer Khan gave away the advantage ... and the match ...

World Cup is almost 4 years away .. why are you worrying about that and wanting to drop a great player like Sachin ... The matches over the next two-three years are also important ..

Stop worrying about Sachin and worry about the other players in the side ... Sachin is a certainty at least for a year or two ...unless something goes drastically wrong with his form/fitness.

When u worry about the other players and get them performing well .. the Indian side will automatically become a good team .. and Sachin can have a graceful exit too !
