he was definitely a good thinking captain. it was due to him, that sachin's record against SA, was not good as compared to against the other countries. he planned abt sachin's dismissals many a times, the most important being sachin, while flicking down the leg,caught at backward short leg.
as coach. its better to select indian player as coach. if not, going for foreign coach, go for any player from eng/sa/wi/nz,etc. But dont go for ausi coach. this is bcoz, ausi coach wud not allow india to do well in ausi when india visits down under.
