He got lots of chances to proove in ODI's. But he is not done anything to remember. Well hope he will do something to proove in the come back when ever he does.
NEVER take him back. He is a big flop show in international cricket. We gave him lot of chances. There is already enough competition for the positions in international arena.

He was shuffled all over. He handled the opening batting in Tests which is far far difficult than playing in one dayers. Just a bad patch more than anything. Didn't he guide India to win against South Africa in a one dayer when India was in trouble? Against the same quality international opposition Tendulkar sucked in Tests. Karthik outscored him.
