My dear friend my question is who has apponied you Selector? what is your record compared to dravid? Do you know the stats and differences? One literal fool calling an intelligent an idiot. thats what you are doing. You are talking about form, I guess you're not even fit for your present role. Get lost from Indian Cricket and dont make it shabby. If Dravid had told you, he needed to be rested you should have. You do not need to decide on his rsting plans. Hope to hear you resign at the earliest.
Kaif s, Pathans, Zaheers, should be included to prove the world, we're secular. even if that means losing heavily....
See! Who support Kaif's inclusion here in rediff message boards. Just take a hint from their names. Barring a few good performance like the one in Natwest trophy, Kaif has nothing to show including in India A and Challenger Trophy. Kaif's name is more discussed here (that too by a section of people) than in the selection committee meetings, I believe... Kaif can try his luck in Bangladesh team. He may even get to captain the team.
When your statement regarding dravid might be accepted for his out of form. I just want to ask u one question? Just be truthful to ur job?
What made u select sehwag who is also out of form and is able to score only one fifty during the challenger trophy. I think dinesh and raina played a beautiful innings and they deserve a place in the squad unlike always inconsistent sehwag whom u have selected.
Being a selector of the Indian team, all indian fans can question u and it is your job to clarify ur position. Last thing be honest in whatever u do?
My countrymen! For last few days I noticed that my name has been brought into cricket blogs eith ulterior motives and 'partisan' stigma has been attached to me. What can I do? You see I found injustice was done to Saurav by previous chief and I rectified him. I later parted my ways with Rahul as I found he not as good a captain or player as everybody thought him to be. The last ODI world cup debacle was soley due to him and Chappel. Besides one has to be uniform in ones approach to the players. You can do something against Ganguly and spare Tendulkar or Dravid for the same fault or mistake, well, it is not done. One has to be impartial and think about the best interest of the country. To set your doubts at rest, this is real Dilip Vengsarkar. Thank you and happy Deepavali!
When Vengsarkar became chairman of selector, i thought here was a man who like his batting will leave his own stamp in this job too.
But alas, he has shown himself to be weak in the knees when it mattered and plays right into the hands of media.
On the back of a poor series for Dravid, the media generated pressure and Vengsarkar responded by dropping a player like Dravid. Dravid incidently is not one who lives on past reputations. He is the most committed and focussed batsman in the team, a natural leader and a tremendous role model for young cricketers.
But all Vengsarker wanted was to rid himself of media pressure and an opportunity to get back at Dravid for not informing him beforehand his decision to give up the captaincy.
Now the whole of India can see how revengeful and impulsive Vengsarkar can be. Now that he has become a politician rivalling almost Sharad Pawar himself, he should look for a job of a MLA or MP and leave the post of Chairman of selectors to able individuals
see they are missing services of Inzy at No.6. he always used to take them home from tough situations and finish the match for them. and who were the top scorers for them in ODI series? None other than most experienced players Younis Khan and Mohd Yusuf.
So for much for all the senior bashing by Indians. What were youngsters 20-20 finalists Pakistan able to do like Misbah,Malik,Nazir etc? They lost both test and ODI series to Pakistan at home soil.
Hope same dosen't happen to India when its too late to recall Sachin and Saurav if they are dropped due to pressure from public!!!!!
All my messages, despite not using any objectionable, unparliamentary language, are reported `abuse' and it seems only if I write what pleases rediff, it's displayed; otherwise, not. Let these forums give freedom of expression please! Else, let's shun rediff and voice our opinions elsewhere! Rediff is popular as long as it's neutral and once it turns partisan or biased, rediff will sure lose its popularity.
