Pakistan Cricket Board Selection Committee has announced the following 16 players for the One-Day Series against India scheduled to start on 5 Novemeber 2007.
Pakistan will leave for India on November 1 and play the first ODI at Guwahati on November 5.
Pakistan will also play three Tests which follow the one-day series. The Test squad will be announced later.
Squad: 1. Shoaib Malik (captain) 2. Salman Butt 3. Imran Nazir 4. Yasir Hameed 5. Younis Khan 6. Mohammad Yousuf 7. Shahid Afridi 8. Misbah-ul-Haq 9. Fawad Alam 10. Kamran Akmal 11. Mohammad Asif 12. Shoaib Akhtar 13. Umar Gul 14. Sohail Tanvir 15. Abdur Rehman 16. Iftikhar Anjum
How has Shoaib completed his 13 match ban already? Pak only played 2 tests and 4 ODIs. I guess they are counting all T20s and the practice sessions too!
This banning of Shoaib was just a hog-wash to show to the world how PCB is very strict and no one is sparred.
This inconsequentialban and allowing Inzamam to play one last match without any practice have shown that senior players take PCB for a ride!

It was mentioned by PCB that they relieved the ban for India tour and the ban continues after the India tour

why ban??? he is a human being with all the feelings as we do, and sometimes something may make him angry, let him give a chance to correct himself and shut his temper and allow his ball to speak.
