Yuvraj needs to learn to be consistent if he is to get his place back in the tests. The reason he was dropped from the test is because of his inconsistency. And hope he knows this. You can not slam-bang a quick 50 in a match and then blow your wicket off cheaply in the next 5 matches. And yes, you canNOT stay in the team only because you are "young".You need to perform, that too consistently.
Bowling Wkts Average Sreesant 9 27.11 Murali 8 20.5 Pathan 7 40.2 RP 5 41.4 Zaheer 8 44.37
So, countrymen make your own deductions. My deduction is that Uthappa was the outstanding batsman averaging 33.4 with a phenomenal strike rate of 115.9 and was well supported by Dhoni and Yuvraj. It is clear Tendulkar and Ganguly were only playing selfishly for their places because though they averaged 39.7 and 31.75 they both had pathetic strike rates of 69.1 and 70.1 respectively.Gambhir and Dravid were hopeless. In bowling, Sreesanth inspite of his antics was the top wicket taker with 9 at a good average of 27.11.Murali was excellent with 8 at an average of only 20.5.The other 3 bowlers were embarassing though Pathan I think was quite good but did not have much luck. Would love some outrageous reactions to the FACTS I have presented.
Hai, Inplace of Rahul Dravid some other good batsman namely Rohit Sharma, Yusuf Pathan... should be there. But dont take Rahul in one day squad it is a request from indian supporter.. He should be kicked out from the one day squad... and yuvraj should get chance in test also.
