Went for a toss. Thats what happens if you say, we are stupid. 4-2 is not a bad score line. Due to some incompetent umpiring, you guys just made it 4-2. It would have been 3-3 but I will never way we would have won the series. But then 20/20 is not a novelty. If it is, then so is 50 over and tests. You cannot conclude on your basis.

Show it Again and Again!
by IndianReporter on Oct 24, 2007 03:05 PM  | Hide replies

I think they want Indians to be meek and get crushed, that's what they are wanting...if they say they want it, indians may change the tact and be again nice and gentle and then bully them..i do not think that this is going to happen. if it happens, if india do not show aggression which is getting to aus. team, they would be doing injustice to themselves. Show two or more series that the aggression has started and is to stay then they would budge, nobody fears a caged LION. I do not, do you ?

Australia were lucky to have batted first most times. All victories were won batting first by Aussies. Only India won batting 2nd. As you could see even in the T20 India is up there to beat the hell out of aussies.

No, correction please ...it was Australian aggression used by the Indians getting to the Australian team, also know this... we can crush you even without getting aggressive...It is just a matter of talking to convicts in a language that they are teaching the rest of the civilized world and the rest of the civilized world uses it only against them.....LOL

Oh! you poor little thing. Had too much Foster's already...we did not beat you ...we actually crushed you in the 20/20 series twice. But then convicts are only good for the long hauls I guess (test matches, etc.). You see we are naturally gifted, but we need to talk to convicts in a language that they understand (hence we are learning to get aggressive). Outside of that we are the people who gave the world the concept of non-violence. You see we also don't have umpires who "cheat" for us. You usually get them from one of your prisons to "play" for you.

Hmm...! your newspapers circulating in a country with a population that is less than 15million. Well let's see ...Indian newspapers...circulating in a country with a population of ~1billion, Pakistan UK Newzealand SA (all totaling to about another 300-400million). All those people heard that we crushed you....we can live with that. And atleast a billion rejoiced

Guess how many will rejoice and hear about if the convicts win against anyone...LOL

The exact reason why your country is called a nation of convicts. And by the way if you illiterate convicts can actually read and write then you should know by now that we are the third largest economy in the world. One business house in our great nation can buy your entire prison and not even sweat over it. But then we only go to that god-forsaken place to give the convicts some respectability by playing cricket with them. You are so ungrateful....but then I do not know what they feed you and your cricket garb wearing convicts in your little prison cells.....LOL

Ignorance has no cure and what else can one expect if one is educated in a prison cell. Judging by the writing one could hazard a guess...second grade...judging by the thought process...I would say....prison-cell schooled and failed in the third grade.Australia is led to believe that they educate more Indians because it is Indians who are teaching in Australian universities. That way the correct statement is Indian-Australians educate more Indians than Australians. But then we send our good to your country so one day you may hope to actually understand what the civilized world looks like. Oh! poor little country of convicts...one can only feel sorry. Hey! we also prop you up by allowing you to win a few cricket matches as well and once you dare to act smart we "decimate" you (remember it took only one of us to powder you in Sharjah). But then we are a kind and generous nation....you would'nt understand that...LOL

You are sons of convicts. You guys win by shouting. When other do a 'bodyline' to you, you cry hoarse. Your PM calls Murali chucker. You guys cant loose well. And This is part of the criminal's psychology. Passed on by centuries.

Are there no hospitals in Australia. Talk cricket. Know that Australian cricket played good cricket onfield. But accept that they were not gentlemen and as per the spirit of the game. You might be used to sledging others in local games, but does not entitle you to be "not polite and gentle" with others. Can't expect some who drinks more beer to accept this.

agression
by saratchandran on Oct 24, 2007 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

We need to think whether the Aus. coach is right or wrong. This is because at the end we (India) end up with a Twenty/20 world cup in south Africa , and a Twnety /20 cup in India, and 2 one day matches. The net is 4-4(total 8 encounter) but we got 2 cups . so think whether India gained from agression. The caoch is just a coach not a good statistician

That's right. And I think we need not stop our learning curve (for getting more aggressive) regardless of how the Aussies behave in this tour. We will need those lessons in the future if the aggression bug bites any of the current or future Aussie players.

So who is the Culprit??
by Aussie Aussie Aussie on Oct 24, 2007 11:05 AM  | Hide replies

Hello India! I am a cricket fan from Down Under and follow the Australian Cricket team as you love the Indian Team. I personally thought this was the toughest series for us in a while although the result doesn't reflect. We were under tremendous pressure from all corners as is the case for most of the teams when they travel to Australia. However, I believe that the limelight was taken by the lousy media who are so hungry for attention that they gave importance to the Chit chats on the field rather than the display of quality cricket. They highlighted 'Racist chants' against Symmo and took it over the top. Sorry, but they missed the whole bloody point. Crowds in Australia are no better. They like to have a go at opposition players as well. I think Symmo was wrong. He considers himself tough, but opened up in front of the media complaining like a sick child about a section of crowd giving it to him. He should've been mature enough to know the repercussions, and has been around long enough to know that. Then ofcourse, the media took over, Sadly. I was also disappointed by the response(or lack of it) by the Indian senior cricketers. It was the right time for the likes of Sachin, Sourav and Rahul to take control of the situation and calm things down. But their reluctance proved that there is more issues unexplained in the dressing room than can be seen on the field. All in all, I think the media could have handled the whole scene better and could have highlighted the...contd...

...contd...positives instead of focussing on the irrelevant negatives. Sadly it wasn't done. I'm afraid that Ricky and his team are wrong in returning back home and speaking to the Media and urging the crowds in Australia to behave rather than speaking about what went right during our tour and enabled us to win. This attention towards crowd behaviour is only going to make things worse...Hopefully India's tour here will be celebrated for Cricketing reasons and not anything petty and irrelevant. Hoepfully the responsible will take over from both sides and get the focus back to the middle. But there's only so much we can hope for....Sad for Cricket.

If the Aussie crowd wants to get into it then they should. A sword only gets sharper when it goes through fire and the talents and playing skills and handling pressure by the Indian players will also get stronger when they are tested by fire. I wish the Indian team good luck and at the same time wish that the Australians behave....well...like Australians usually do.Whether India win or lose this series I just hope that this experience for the young Indian team would hold them in good stead in the future

Ha! Ha1 Ha! Not really just wishing luck to a fighting force to learn how prisoners behave like barbarians and how to make sure that we learn all their tricks. So the next time we crush you....you will remember that we learnt it from you. We are civilized people not really well versed in the ways of convicts...you see! But then you would not know it any other way...typical convict....LOL

Give Dhoni's XI some time
by Sanjay on Oct 24, 2007 11:03 AM

Aussies never expected such kind of behaviour from India...Hence they are surprised...Most importantly Ponting knows the same kind of attitude from India would be there in Australia as well...Its just some time which the team needs to break Aussies..
