Dinesh Karthik hasn't done any justice to the selectors' faith in him and to the opportunities he got so far and deserves to be sidelined for a while till he understands the value of an Indian cap. Till then, let him only be considered as a test opening batsman and keeper
The Mumbai ODI on Oct 17 between Australia and India was an anti-climax in cricket sport when the better known batsmen were willingly surrendering their wickets to whosoever wished to claim them. Not only Indian players, but even the world champions, the Aussies cricketers seemed to cooperate with one another in demolishing the standards attained so far by the eminent sportsmen in the field, even their own bating records.
However, the ill-fated match in Mumbai seemed to have had at least two objectives: to compete with each other in losing quick wickets, and, two, by dong so make a tribute to the renounced batsman from Pakistan, Inzamam Haq who has just , in utter disillusion and disappointment, quit all together the world cricket and played his last match in Pakistan against South Africa at the same period when India was reeling under devastating effect of Aussies. In either case, even if they played very seriously that match in Mumbai, the Australian players have unbeaten themselves and it was a disgrace to them as the global champions. The event further destroyed the illusions that only Australians can withstand pressures.
With the disastrous performance in the final ODI, now it is impossible to predict if Australian would win or throw their wickets quickly to the needy opponents. Most probably the final decision in this regard has already taken by the mafia and other concerned people before the match begins. There is a hunch that both teams
