ya, he is a good cricketer. But playing cricket is different from handling the team. And if he does, then what else is needed.........

In my opinion Ausies are better than Indians in talent, mental toughness, fitness, gameplan, attitude & urge to perform. They play for the gamesake. Winning are loosing is secendary. Indians are way behind.

why dinesh kartik got place before Rothit /Bhadrinath
by pravin gawde on Oct 18, 2007 07:25 PM  | Hide replies

Even Dinesh Kartik last 10 ODI record worst then Dravid.
Can anybody from selection bord explain this?
Why not Rohit sharma (Home Ground)/Sbhadrinath (All Rounder) are considerd.
Is Dinesh Kartik really fit into oneday side?
Wich he has scored (alltogather LAST 10 ODI)not even 50 runs.

I agree too. DK didn't utilize the opportunities given to him and couldn't live upto the selectors' faith. He should only curse himself if he doesn't figure in the team for the future ODIs.

His avg. in tests is even better than Tendulkar's while in ODIs is lower only bcoz Tendulkar has amassed lot many runs against novices like Kenya,Bangla etc.

We saw his class in this series, in the dull flat Indian pitches which are ideally suited for batsmen. He's a class act. No doubt about that. But right now, he's struggling for form. Let him take a break and bounce back stronger.

Present Selectors should be dropped
by ramana VekataKalvacherla on Oct 18, 2007 03:57 PM  | Hide replies

Present selectors should be dropped because they made great senior players (Sachin,Sourav,Dravid) pressure by giving the warning. Giving waning is nothing but insulting. This makes them pressure that's why they could not play freely. Result- India lost the important series.

This was a fluke win. Some lessons can be learnt. If the tail wants to bat,it can.So why does it not do better in other matches.Granted run rate was no issue yesterday and that helped the tail. But Zaheer was positive and batted well.So did Harbajan. So why don't they make this contribution elsewhere in tight situations. This has become important as the famous Indian batting lineup now looks to be in the casualty ward.Give a little bad condition, namely swing, they fall like nine pins.

all these guys zaheer and harbhajan are political chamchas--they can screw any game for their own self interest. They should not be selected at all-
