The extent to which Dravid has struggled in the ODIs of late is evident by a look at his recent stats. He has piled on a measly 73 runs in his last nine matches at just under 10 per innings, after having secured the man of the match award in the Bristol ODI just prior to his terrible run of form. - MSN India column
We all know, Dravid is a great player and he'll sure bounce back strongly again to regain his rightful place in the team. Right now let him enjoy the break and spend some leisurely time with his family and work on his sagging form, watching videos of his own dismissals and how bowlers have sorted him out. Be it Dravid or Dinesh Karthik, they need to be judged by the same yardstick. None can cling on to his place based on past form. Even Dinesh Karthik is proving time and again that, he's not a ODI batsman. He has been given enough opportunities already. Instead of finding lame excuses like, it was gem of a delivery that got him out, ball was swinging so much in air, etc., it'd be wise if he learns to deal with it. No bowler is expected to bowl a lollipop when he comes to bat. He was sent in at No.3 at the early fall of a wicket since he's an opening batsman. He was supposed to have guarded his end for a while and to play out his shots later which he could not do. Mr. DK! Thank God for the opportunities you got so far. You got them more than what you deserve and wasted them all. Blame youurself if you do not get an opportunity again!
I think, we Indian are emotional, tatz y we r not ready to accept that Dravid is replaced with Karthik. I think player like Dravid never deserve place in one day cricket, because he is not a player who can give you win. he can give you a respected total but tat total is not enough for win n the result will be the same, if you lose a game by 1 run or 100. If you'd look whole career of dravid, u'll find tat he always adjusted in indian squad. I agree tat he is a gr8 player of Test matches n everyone knw tat it is not necessary tat if someone is gr8 in one, will be gr8 in others. So he must be part of Test matches but not deserve place in One day. Cricket is professional game, instead of caring sentiments of one player, we should look fwd & pray for india win:-)

Rascal Northy. Dont raise south and north. dont do such useless comment. Rahul is great batsmen(no doubt in that). And no need to come back. He should take retire. I am from Karnataka. dont think I am from other state. Its game. Now he is not in form also. If he played well in domestic, he can. Why not ?.... But one thing I will tell you dont raise north and south. I will f.. u

Do discrimination please. That will spoil your own attitude and your next generation as well. After stepping down from captaincy, its difficult to concenrate on game. Wish he comes back to Team after he is mentally stong.
