Media overdose!!
by Manoj Mehta on Oct 18, 2007 12:35 PM

Once again it is Media & TV's which are unncessarily giving the lift to the non exixisting issues. Some players are always disliked by public for some or other reasons & they are booed or taunted on the ground. That does not amount to racism. Useless flaring up of the issue by media.

was there any video evidence
by Aditya Sinha on Oct 18, 2007 12:02 AM

Was there any audiovisual evidence of this alleged mokey chant? If there is none, then ICC should shut up. It's Symonds' words only. Australian players are not known to be credible people.

Also, Symonds' publicly saying that they did not receive good hospitality should be investigated. He is defaming BCCI,the Indian Tourism industry and all of Indian people. BCCI guys are cockroaches, so forget about them. If there is no sufficient basis of his allegations, he should be sued.

Of course, the aussies are at fault- there's obviously no racism problem in India as can be seen from the quality posts replying to this article. That was sarcasm, in case you thick headed racists are too stupid to realise. Please note, I'm talking about racists, not Indians, Australians or any other race, creed or colour before you go getting all unsettled. Racism has been recorded, dealt with and the issue continues to be a priority in Australia and now Pakistan. In India, despite being mentioned in the match referee's report, despite necessitating an anti racism message being shown on the scoreboard (so vociferous were the chants), despite a letter from the ICC and despite Andrew Symonds and other players testimony, the head of the BCCI calls the victim a liar. Good work. Racism has no place in sport, or anywhere else. Identify it, deal with it, and get on with the cricket. Sport should bring people together.

Aussies at fault
by Marutheesh Bellary on Oct 16, 2007 02:06 PM

If the spectators are dancing how in the world will that be racial abuse? Fact of the matter is that there was no racial abuse. It was all made up by Symonds and elaborated by media. If there was really racial abuse, then why don't Aussies go and lodge complaint? The players are not making big deal because now they know that when the investigation reports come everybody will know that it was all made up. So they are backing off.

Southies are biggest racists. It is impossible to stay with them in the south. Especially Tamilians. They hate speaking hindi etc. So RamKrishna, why dont you shut up with your stupid and nonsense thoughts here?
