TURNING POINTS OF THE MATCH
by NITIN RAJ on Oct 15, 2007 07:51 PM  | Hide replies

1)THE GREAT SREESANTH DROPPING SYMONDS WHEN HE HAD NOT EVEN CROSSED 10 RUNS.

2)YUVRAJ PLAYING ACROSS TO A FULL TOSS FROM HOGG AND GETTING OUT LBW.

WHEN A LITTLE BOY IS TAUGHT HOW TO BAT. THE BASIC FUNDAMENTAL THE BOY IS TOLD IS TO PLAY STRAIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE INNINGS. BUT WHO WILL EXPLAIN THIS TO YUVI , HE ALWAYS PLAY ACROSS THE LINE TO THE SPINNERS AND GETS OUT. HE SHOULD HAVE ATTEMPTED THIS KIND OF SHOT AFTER HE GOT SET. NOT DONT TELL THAT YUVI DID'NT HAVE TIME TO DO SO. IF HE SHOULD HAVE PLAYED THE BALL WITH A STRAIGHT BAT TO LONG ON AND SETTLED HIMSELF IN NEXT TWO OR THREE OVERS , THE COMPLETE SCENARIO OF THE MATCH WOULD HAVE CHANGED I BET YOU GUYS. INDIA WOULD HAVE GOT HOME WITH ATLEAST 2 OVERS IN SPARE. BUT WHO WILL MAKE YUVI UNDERSTAND ALL THESE.

WITH 189 FOR 2 IN 30 OVERS AND ENDING UP ON THE LOSING IS TOTALLY NOT FORGIVEABLE OR TOLERABLE.

THESE ARE CULPRITS. DONT FORGIVE THEM. SEE AUSTRALIA , THEY NEVER GET TIRED OF WINNING. WE LOSE 10 TO AUSTRALIA AND WIN 1 GAME , WE KEEP ON BOASTING ON THE 1 VICTORY WE HAD ACHIEVED AGAINST AUSTRALIA. OUR SELECTORS, SECRETARY AND CHAIRMAN WILL REACH THE STADIUM SIT IN FRONT OF T.V CAMERA AS IF THEY HAVE BEATEN AUSTRALIA.

BUNCH OF FOOLS.

Dont you think, they should have sent UTHAPPA at NO:3 instead of promoting PATHAN? I thought that caused the match for India

Most Critical Phase of the Play
by Senthil Kumar on Oct 15, 2007 05:29 PM  | Hide replies

According to me India was in complete control of the game until Sachin and Pathan were at the crease. Sachin , not only made sure that the strike rate was around 100 , but also rotated the strike and helped Sourav who was not at his best in his initial period.

Even after Sachin got out , it was a brilliant decision to send Pathan in and he too scored at a brisk pace making use of the powerplay.

But the worst phase of the play emerged when Rahul joined with Sourav. In the next five overs , they brought down the run rate dramatically while the asking rate climbed up from 7 runs an over to 10 runs an over !!!

Obviously , that made things extremely difficult for Yuvi , Dhoni and even for the brilliant Uttappa who almost turned the match single handedly.

It looked as if Dhoni realized the mistake of sending in Dravid at that crucial juncture and he is coming up with a humourous explanation that since Rahul was padded up for long time , he was sent in at No:4. Meaning....he was just not prepared to instruct Rahul to wait further and send Yuvi or even himself....!

This according to me is the decision which costed us the match and the series.

What was brilliant in sending Irfan to bat? Why Dhoni did not come? He could have acclerated things to make it easier for others. Why did he send Irfan? Is irfan better batsman than Dhoni? As a captain u should lead from front. Not come after 40 over and blame others

hahahahaha
he sent dravid just bcoz he was padded up ??????????????
if that was his explaination then he deserves to be sacked as captain as he was not playing for team and just working for dravid to feel good..
what a dumb ass he is...

India would have won more matches in the series, if india played with out the seniors. But SACHIN played well and seems co-operating with the Captain. Defenitely Sourav and Dravid are not comfortable under Dhoni, or Dhoni is rather uncomfortable in "managing" the two. Selectors should not have put Dhoni in to a situation like this. If they selected only youngsters and rested the seniors, how worse it could be? 6-0, instead of 5-1?

Dravid-ganguly..the worst pair ever
by Hiren Bhavsar on Oct 15, 2007 05:27 PM

whenever ganguly dravid pair is at the crease..they waste a lot overs so badly scoring at 3.0 runs/over india loses the whole momentum and gives the game away like a gift to opposition.. it usually doesnt hurt batting first as final overs are easy free hitting while batting first..
DHoni--the idiot--really made a disastrous move to send dravid in instead coming in himself as he is in form also-had a chance to lead from front instead he came late and already we needed 110 of 11 overs..then it needed a miracle for india to win..I dont want to judge dhoni as captain now;;; but so far he is not impressive at all in 50-50..

Aus are true world champions
by Hiren Bhavsar on Oct 15, 2007 05:23 PM

AUS showed they r true champions..finishing the game in style..
look at the series..india play with 2 batsman-openers, 2 hitters (uthapa and dhoni--only good at 6-7) 5 bowler-of which only 2 bowl well;; then we have one fielder---Yuvraj...thats only thing he does well now...bowling is rubbish and batting--better not say about it..and then we have a dravid !!!!!!!
Do you expect to win against world champions with such useless team ? cant bat, cant bowl, cant field type..if sachin had got out before 50 runs..india would have been all out for 199 wiht ganguly still making his slow 80 for his own sake and dravid would have probly played out 15-20 overs wiht runrate of 3..
we can see now why india is no 7 and aus in no 1..

Indian Team in Bombay
by vikas biyani on Oct 15, 2007 03:34 PM

Just curious........will there be another 'chane ke jhaad pe chado' type welcome party at Wankhede for the Indian team.....(no offence to the players), but the hysteria seems to be out of control nowadays with politicians running over each other to take credit and cash on T20 W Cup win......
