I think India won!!
by Sudipto Ghosh on Oct 16, 2007 03:20 AM  | Hide replies

1. Australia with a strong batting line up batted well to score 317 against below par Indian bowling and fielding.

2. India nearly reached that total against top quality bowling and feilding.

3. In conclusion Australia scored 317 against poor bowling and India nearly scored that against good disciplined bowling therefore over all India played better and nearly won!!

Hope that made sense.

To be frank I am not a person in favour of personal assaults.
Its always good to look at the positive side of things.
By the way at least have some guts to reveal your identity when you write Mr.C(hu...) or whatever.

Reason for Lose.

While playing against Australia all u need is to score runs and that too at a good rate. Can u imagine while chasing 318 of 300 balls single person wasting 25 balls (Ganguly). He along with Sachin gave a good start, fine, but is anything guaranteed that someone else coming after will chase 7-8 per over straight away. It is not at all easy. Every batsmen needs some time to get his eye in before going for big hits. That was the problem in yesterday's match. No one had balls left to get their eye in.All were in Ganguly's pocket.

IS THERE ANY ONE INNINGS AFTER SOURAV'S COMEBACK WHERE HE HAS SCORED MORE THAN RUN A BALL!!!!!!sHAMELESS SELFISH FELLOW.HE IS ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT HIS PLACE IN THE TEAM AND NOT THE OUTCOME OF THE MATCH.LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF DOT BALLS IN HIS INNINGS'S AFTER COMEBACK. THAT ITSELF SHOWS HOW WELL HE CAN ROTATE THE STRIKE.PLS THROW HIM OUT OF THE SIDE.

Mr.Venkatesh,Change your Typical Mentality of blaming for everything. Being an opener his job is to get More runs,it never means to score a century in 20 Balls. Incase if he tries for Six & gets out you will tell that he should not have played such a short instead should have built a strong partnership. I think like our players you should also go to Australia to change your attitude

Also, u r talking abt attitude. Do u know with what attitude Aussies play their game. They fight till the last moment. They develop players who can be aggressive in their performance. Sourav will not even get a chance in the Aus A side. First send Sourav to learn some of their attitude towards the game.Individual scores are not more worth than team's win.

you should be winnning all matches without saurav or atleast get beaten gently! lets look at the records you want to post in that regard.

Do u know Cricket is also played in the minds of the players.Sourav's contribution on the minds of others is very large.Whenever he is batting in the middle he makes the pitch look difficult for others by being tentitive, missing balls, edging etc. Also he dosent rotate strike pressurising the non striker. He dosent run quickly leaving the other batsmen count his time to get run out. These are more than enough to create confusion in the minds of other batsmen.

Hey, I never expect all the balls to be hit for 6's,that too by Ganguly. I am very happy if he scores singles consistently.I know his capability. If he needs 100 balls to settle before trying to accelerate( even after he didn't) should'nt others need atleast 5-10 balls.Have u ever atleast played gully cricket and scored some sixes. Better go do that and then involve in the discussion.

Venkatesh, stop talking like a kid. The start given is great by Sachin and Sourav. You cannot blame Sourav, since India required 143 from 120 balls...our T20 heros should have converted that easily. But they all failed.

You please understand that all balls cannot be hit for sixes. You better watch gully cricket.
