Wicket-taking deliveries
by JM on Oct 14, 2007 09:39 AM

How many wicket-taking balls are bowled by Zaheer et al.?

Let our bowlers bowl more wicket-taking deliveries, let Dhoni/bowlers adopt innovative field placements and let selectors drop drop those dead weights from the team and then Zaheer will have his wish come true!

Forget Zaheer, SACK DRAVID FIRST
by Starwar on Oct 14, 2007 03:16 AM

In the last nine games Dravid has only 73 runs at 9.12 batting average. Sack this useless follower of Chappell who destroyed all team spirit....IMMEDIATELY...

....3 left armeres who are identical clones if anything.....at the cost of the one bowler who has taken the most wickets in the series......

Zaheer bhai...u look old, finished and u are living on borrowed time..... .

Dhoni.....stand up for agression for people who can match fire with fire....try to stand up for people or else when ur time to go comes which i fear may not be long in coming....u'll be one more pathetic has been in indian cricket.

just compare how the bolrs r doing and not whether they r left handers or otherwise. when ind had no left arm bolrs, v used to play all the right hander pace bolrs only.
yes santh can b tried but not cos of his right handedness only.

Cruel games the destiny plays...

By opting out from the T20 world cup, the BIG 3 have dug their own graves. Had they played, India wouldn't have won the tournament or even would have perished earlier in the tournament, had they played. There wouldn't have been any pressure on Team India in the current and forthcoming series against Pakistan and then the subsequent series down under. No one would have the expected India to win. Carrying the expectations of the whole nation on their ageing shoulders, the really find it very difficult to live up to it. None blames if Uthappa or DK or Rohit Sharma fails. But, if a Sachin or Saurav or Dravid fails, people are demanding for their blood. Part and parcel of being Gods! This is just the other side of the coin. When the stole all the limelights so far reaped rich dividends for their super star status, they do deserve this treatment meted out to them as well. You need to perform consistently to deserve any super status. A good innings here and one there won't do. May be, it's time we get to see new super stars taking over and the aged ones settle to playing second fiddle. Zaheer too deserves to be demoted in the gradings as he's not proving to be a match winner. It's time, youngsters in the team learn to play a responsible game and enjoy playing for the country. No use blaming the ageing heroes alone. Do not come up with excuses. Face the challenges ahead boldly and become heroes yourself! We're looking for heroes to worship and there's a dearth of them right now.

Have you told that to yourself Mr. Zaheer?
by K Chandru on Oct 13, 2007 09:53 PM  | Hide replies

Say this 100 times to yourself before walking on to bowl. You need to be demoted in the gradings Mr. Zaheer. You do not deserve the top grading given to you right now.
