Nothing Wrong!!
by Manoj Mehta on Oct 12, 2007 10:33 PM

There is nothing wrong by IPL on insisting players gives them first preference as they are getting millions of $ from IPL as compared to few thousand $ in their country.

We also wants to extract each rupess we spent on something. Isn't it?

All the professionals should boycott the BCCI and move to the ZEE camp...that will be the best thing which will happen to Indian Cricket. Subhash jee will give the players ample space to grow in a mature manner...
He'd run the association like Cricket Australia.

Well said.! I really hope some thing similar happens. Am not sure what all legal body can do but they should stop BCCI from all the wrong doing. Thr should be some organization who can ensure that monopoly of BCCI should ends. sooner they do better it would be. If ICL is given equal ground as of IPL no one will play or watch IPL thats I am sure off.....

What is new in that?

So, what was Mills expecting from BCCI, which is perhaps the worst sports administration body in the world.

By the way the contract was a 1 1/2 page document (as reported by Cricinfo) and not a 112 page document!

recent matches have exposed india's shortcomings
by slash on Oct 12, 2007 08:23 PM

indian team preparation and selection stinks. the players do what they can, but if the management, selection, state teams and all round cricket development is pathetic, what can the players do. the whole is kept as it is, because there will be lack of accountability. the bcci monopoly should be broken.

BCCI fexible stand.....................................
by dharmendra Singh on Oct 12, 2007 08:07 PM

BCCI has proved that flexibility is the effective tools to counter ICL.
First :People don't wish to see retaired play but IPL given contact to Mcgrath.senwarn,jaysurya.............
Second :20 :20 is only fun game now 20:20 have IPL.
Third :Coach is essntial componenet in Tean sucess and now no coach.

great felixibility !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outlawed is a very strong word to use against the ICL. the BCCI is an organization that represents neither the Indian govt, nor the Indian cricket. The ICL is as valid an entity as the BCCI is.

Rediff or IST should remove the term outlawed while referring ICL.I second your opinion.ICL is under law and it is 100% legal.
