Rotatory basis
by Vikas Verma on Oct 11, 2007 12:36 PM

It is important to senior players in the team, but the Big three have been giving identical performances, which is uncalled for. Including them on Rotatory basis would be more appropriate. At the same time would give chance for a youngster to groom under their guidance.

When the big three would retire in two years time, we would have a player of their caliber by that time.

dont you think you dont have new players in the team. except three. Yuvi is old or new he played 150 matches. dhone is 90. bhaji 150
they are young and new. They are not able to play properly. blame them too.

When there was run ,why Sachin did not take single!!!!!!!!!
by S Narain on Oct 11, 2007 12:11 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin knew that start for India is always crucial, hence it is beyond understanding how Sachin did not run for single!!!!
A player who has played 400 plus ODI is casual about his partner, very surprsing.
Sachin has always failed in crucial matches and his records are great but his performance has failed to have any impact on team India .
It shows his individualistic approach ,which is part of Indian mindset!!!!
India lacks to acknowledge true match winners,it is all due to too much lobbying & BCCI politics.

Ganguly's run out

Can anyone explain how Ganguly got out? Whose call was it and who was responsible for the run out?

Ganguly drove to midwicket and started running. Sachin ran a few stops and stopped; asked Ganguly to back. Difficult to say who to blame. However, if I must, the blame goes to Mr. 400.

from cricinfo

0.4       Lee to Ganguly, OUT, oh thats just plain ridiculous! Lee bangs in a short ball on middle and leg, Ganguly gets up and plays it down into the midwicket region and sets off, Hodge swoops across, Tendulkar comes down a few steps and says go back, but Ganguly's halfway down the track and cant get back to his crease and Gilchrist just has to take an easy return over the stumps and whip off the bails
      SC Ganguly run out 0 (4m 4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
The single wasnt really on with Hodge covering good ground. Both Ganguly and Tendulkar, after all those ODIs, still cant call for a single. Here's Dravid.

A dive would have saved Ganguly. He did exactly what he did in the first ODI against England. He ran too far after hitting the ball straight to a fielder. This was the 4th ball like last time, there was no run. Sachin responded but late. It is on the web, take a look.

I dont understand the hatred our guys have towards one player. It is like snowballing effect. Either there is too much adoration or too much hatred. I cannot understand these brains. They must be made in China or something, they tend to fall apart too quickly!!!

No, No, No. Big 3 played their natural game and got out early. Pressure was on the youngsters. No way it is strike. It is just another day in the office. Only thing is Zaheer is doing overtime for which he won't get paid. Sachin can return to Mumbai quickly today if he can catch the early evn flight and close the Bandra Banglow deal.

Consistent inconsistency is the national Mantra. Sachin played like a true senior. The wall is more consistently a hole nowadays. However, RP and zaheer are batting nicely.
