Yes a full Time coch is needed

No matter if we have won the 20-20 world cup without a coach but the 3-1 score in the present series is showing that the Indian team is loosing the edge somewhere, and that edge is the guidance and experience of a good coach. The match was is and will always be played by the players but the coach is not just another spectator. He is the one who gives the strength to the players when they need it the most. It has been a thinking that a forign coach is better than an indian coach trust me the answer is---NO. we are highly influenced by the western countries and feel that they are better than us.
Are they better than us just because they are white?????
We have very good experienced cricketers who have the capability of being the best coach we can have Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri to name a few. BUT till the politics is not kept out of cricket the game is going to suffer.

i definitely agree wit ya....even if they rush in the best of the best coaches in the world...end of the day its the so called tame tigers who hav to go out n play the cricket...n if bcci is looking for someone like venkatesh prasad who already holds a tag of bowling coach( wonder wat prompted these jokers to appoint him as a bowling coach who himself could not bowl) and robin singh as fielding coach who got the praise to the best fielder for india during his playin days thanks only to others teammates who could hardly field.....knowin em i bet bcci is gono come up wit venkatpaty raju as a batting coach n saba karim as a full time coach for his tremendous cricketing brain..

The BCCI needs to get its act together and send a strong message to the seniors. Shape up or ship out. If you feel strongly about cricket have your say on http://lo.karloba.at

Full time coach will not help dhoni
by sunil swain on Oct 10, 2007 11:44 PM

Full time coach will not help dhoni. These coaches in terms of prasad and robin are doing well. Why don't you think them as full time coaches.this full time coach will come and make his own rule and disturb the players intention like chappel. In making decisions like declaration manager and prasad robin have enough experience to do that.
