your decision is wrong, you neglect the most seniors[Dravid,Tendulkar,Ganguly.Future matches India sure utterflopped.20-20 matches in youngsters ok,but50 overs match and test matches for senior players is very very important. wall is wall, master blaster is back bone of the team, bengal tiger is tiger.thease three members is very danger at any team, at any time, the dashing opener sehwag also.
Look who is commenting. During his tenure he had support of great sunny and was a non performer for a long period. He is not worth to make such comments. Again this fellow is from same old mumbai lobby. He is also responsible for 2 match defeat in this series. He should be sacked as coach and let him to run a chat shop on juhu beach. Thats all I can say.
i think he has decieded to ruin the career of sehwag, who i think is neccessary in the top 3 numbers to accelerate the score board.his 40 odd runs in less many balls would demoralise the opposite bowlers.tendulkar seems to be struggling to get speed start.and even youngsters like uttappa, gambir & rohit sharma are damn waste in the team.vengsarkar is playing mumbai politics in cricket,he sould step down.he & niranjan shah playing dirty politics for thier benefit

he, the mumbai lobby and the media is hell bent on ruining sehwag's career. what irked them probably was he was compared to sachin. we people are not good enough to see the difference between a 30 in 20 balls and a sixty in 100 balls in odis. they want fifties and records and not wins. times have changed.that is why teams like aus are doing well. they know that gilchrist may fail to get big scores for 5 matches but even his 30 runs will have demoralising effect on the opponents.

Hi
What you said is 100% correct.. they need to pick shewag on top and have him open the match to make sure he is demoralizing the opponent with his racy batting.. yes scorring 30's in 10 balls or less or with a 100% strike rate is always a big turner in any ODI.. but is shewag fit?.. specially against aussies, they use his non working foot to take his wicket cheaply, that worries everyone.. but cant he be given a chance atleast.!!
It is a very good approach to get rid of Ganguly. The only thing he knows is to use Bengali support to stay put. He is a politician at best: not a Cricketer.
I think Vengasarkar should handle this in a mature manner. Going to the press is not defintely mature. He is right in saying so, but can talk it over to the players. And I suppose if need be, he has the authority (?) to drop a player from the team.
i think that idiot vengsarkar is trying to be too much of an influence in that dressing room. He should be thrown out of that dressing room and also as a chief selector..

Well, vensargar need not warn these youngsters, he can warn only senior players. dropping from a team is different from dropping from a match which was done usually by team captain and manager. Gambhir and Romesh powar are not playing well. Sreesant couldn't continue his form from twenty20 game. So they deserve this treatment.

Pragyan Ojha is too young at 21 while Dravis and Tedulkar are too old at 34. Colnel you are senile may be half oy your body is not functioning like your CHAIRMAN MAO (oops PAWAR). Colonel you were also a captain of Inidan Team onle because you were the senior most player and only playing for yourself. Be ashamed of yourself. Jimmy Amarnath once called the Indian Cricket selectors "BUNCH OF JOKERS", you all are "BUNCH OF SUCKERS"
