You fool!! Dont you get aggressive if anybody passes remarks on you. Loot at the way Sachin also got angry in one of the matches with the Aussies. Just being smart outwardly does not count. They should behave smartly from inside. I think you too belong to that stupid Aussie clan... I feel this stupid Prasanna should be banned from joining this discussion board.

Perfectly fine
by Sathish N on Oct 12, 2007 04:08 PM  | Hide replies

Sreesanth's behavior is perfectly fine. I would say other players need to learn from him and get more aggressive too. If Ponting sissy keeps complaining, he should be fine for excessive complaining. Way to go Sreesanth!!!

Focus on the game at hand
by on Oct 11, 2007 07:16 PM

Sreesanth should learn to control his anger or attitude on the field. He is just spoiling the atmosphere of the game. Have you seen anyone as irritating as he is on the field. What would other countries an team think about his behaviour. Why doesnt he think that he is making a fool out of himself. He has not proven himself to be consistent with his line an length,an how do you think the team will keep him in the long run?He sure wont be a permenant bowler or a new find for the team if he cant be consistant. He has to know to keep his cool an concentrate on the game at hand. How would he have felt if he was in the shoes of the players he makes fun off? Just remember that he has to also travel abroad to other teams countries and hope they dont make a mokkery out of him their. First lets see if he remains in the team.

Adviceto Sreesanth if he cares to take it
by sampath srivatsan on Oct 10, 2007 07:48 PM

So far whatI have seen u on the field we can see ur passion for the game. Please concntrte on you bowling and not be bothered by opponents attitude. If u cut ur on hhe field antics you could turn out to be one of the best finds for India.Watch out for the Aussies and be prepred for a rough reception from the Aussie crowd who can do a lot of damage to ur concentration .
Hope u get slected for the next 3 one dayers and perforom well with the ball and bring vicory to India

Sreesanth is a stupid fool!!.
by pokerking on Oct 08, 2007 07:40 PM  | Hide replies

For me sreesanth is a stupid fool if he can't backup his mouth. But his sledging is acceptable if he can get wickets consistently. Austalians only concern about winning or losing as a team. They don't care if got out to sreesanth or anyone. Australian considers him a chimpanzee. running up and down. he looks like one.

That being said , i was so much impressed when he was playing pak series. I thought india finally found a fast bowler with a passion. But his perofrmance went down and his mouth flapping off. Does he reached his MAX? seems like so. I will pick him if build upper body muscle. he should go to usa and get trained in body building and come back...then talk.. people will listen...until then drop sreesanth...we do not want to hear empty talk.

Sledging and Showing Agression
by chilkoor sachidev kumar on Oct 08, 2007 01:21 PM  | Hide replies

Both these qualities are out of place in a sport which was designed for gentlemanly conduct. The new mannerisms displayed by sportsmen as though they are some 'king kong gorillas' does very little to portray their greatness or talent. If the Aussies do something wrong, blame it on their upbringing and inser curity internally. Do not repeat or match word for word or gesture for gesture. It would do, good to recall what Mohamed Ali did. he kept on ranting he is the best, bla bla bla. He kept winning till he too got knocked out. today he is in smithereens. Dilapitated , afllictfed, weak and meek. He is talking of God like a Saint. This is not only physical but also mental. Great guys do not go down history in such a pathetic manner. Ganguly, Bajji, Sreesanth, are moving towards such an ignominous end. Guys stop cheering their louzy behavioiur as thoght it is a fashion statement. it is just crap. In tennis Paes is afflicted with a similar disease.

see chikoor sachidev ....
This is exactly why we indians cant cope it in the big boys world. because we are physically and mentally weak. I agree showing agression does not mean mouthing off. But keeping quiet and doing salt satyagraha wont take us much far in this day in age. You must match up with the gorillas. Dont over do it but let them know you are not going to take it. Back it up with a good game as well. Like someone above mentioned.. beef up.. do something.. not to fight with the aussies or anyone . .but for your own self. You then will be armed automatically with what you need to combat an opponent. Its 90% mental. and 10% physical. but we are at 0% physical level here.
One word about Ali.. he was the greatest .. Ever heard of PArkinsons disease son? The pouding he took to his spine did not help either. I think you basically know nothing but to eat your chapatis and get pounded by the local school bully. People like you make me sad.

Sreesanth
by Jim on Oct 07, 2007 06:26 PM  | Hide replies

Guys enjoy what he brings to the game. Believe me when I say it is not easy to go out there and show attitude game after game. He has been hit or miss but, if he does hit, he wins games for the country.

Stop this Mallu crap. Kerala is one of the only places left in the country that has preserved the Vedic and Indian culture. We have lost it or polluted it with superstition in the rest of the country. Sreesanth represents INDIA not MALLU Community.

If he yells and screams so be it. Let him enjoy himself out there. He is now bowling at 92 miles an hour. The guy has the potential if he puts on some mass up top. If he works with the right trainers, in a couple of years he could start being really quick. He needs to work on his legs and upper body.

The first thing about a fast bowler is his attitude. Guys understand this, by yelling and screaming Sreesanth puts pressure on himself to deliver. This means he will work harder and harder till he achieves his goals. There is nothing wrong with that. We nurture this talent right, we will have a match winner.

He could inspire a bunch of younsters to go out there and just blast it for a few overs. That is what passion can do. Forget being the goody two shoes people that we have been. Give it back even if it back fires sometimes.

He is already making the guys think about beating him!!! Hayden, Symonds, Gilly and Ponting are talking about BEATING Sreesanth a youngster from remote part of India!!! He has made it!

Sledging should be backed by performance
by Sudipto Ghosh on Oct 07, 2007 03:15 AM  | Hide replies

If sledging is not backed up by performance then one makes a fool of himself. Its like 'stray dogs barking at a passing elephant' (before anyone starts I am NOT calling anyone a dog or and elephant its just an example).
The Aussies have the performance to back it. In the Kochi match Symmonds backed it up with performance. Yuvraj did that against England in the T20 match.
Thats how it should be if at all one does it.

Fool, it was because he who conquered the aussies in the world cup semifinal with his 4 for 12 with the scalps of hayden and gilchrist, both bowled.

Do something that he has done at such a young age, and then go and criticize him, fool.

Hi Abhimanyu, I have a few points to make:
1. Sreesanths aggression was backed up by performance in that particular match so it made sense. It DID NOT in the match at Kochi.
2. I am not undermining Sreesanth's achievements, besides young and I have achieved things Sreesanth hasn't!!
3. I do not know what your background is. I presume I have more achievements than you so before you call me a fool please reflect on yourself.

Cheers.
