One who wants to contest for President post of BCCI, should have played at least 50 ODI'S & 10 test matches just to keep out the Politicians. Necessary amendment may be made to the laws.

Sharad Pawar has done nothing to improve Indian cricket except robing Kapil dev's penson money. He neither developed any infrastructure in our country for cricket not he kept his promise in distributing money to the other sports. He played typical divide and rule policy by blowing maharastrians trumphet cord.Even we are disappointed very much by seeing the poor telecast of the match. We except some improvements in infrastructure atleast from new Chairman. We pray that let him not dance as a doll of Pawar.

BCCI represents Mumbai only - not even Maharashtra, forget about India

I think in near future ICL will be true representative of the Indian cricket. The Mumbaiallas have bought out the rest of the Indian state cricket-boards... Pawar and Shashank should open their eyes to the fact that almost all the office-bearers (and now even the coach) belong to Maharashtra and Rajasthan alone - what about the representation of the rest of the country?? I think soon the Indian cricket-team would comprise of Maharashtrian boys only.

it does not matter where the players r from if we keep on winning maches it should not matter to anyone whether it is 11 players from mumbai itself.
we should talk about better of indian cricket & not about the worst for the country.
we lack behind because we thing ourself as that in belong to this state & that state now atleast stop this thing of the country india man. there always will be this kind of thing do u remember when G.vishwanath was the selected there were as many as 7 - 8 players from south (Karnataka) representing indian team at them time we were losing nobody said any thing so why now. (dravid, prasad, joshi, srinath, kumble, bhardwaj, & some one else all played for india in the same matches).
so before commenting see the history of the indian cricket team. this kind of things have happened & will happen no one can stop it.
be happy until & until india is winning.
sorry if i have hurt anybody with this message.

Sagar - you are forgetting 1 thing - that BCCI's main job is not only to have a winning-team, but also to promote cricket and facilities across whole of India. If only Mumbaikars can make to the Indian team (even if it is all-winning) that would mean players from other areas are not coming up - because of lack of facilities etc. That would also mean failure of the BCCI. Now don't tell me only the Mumbaikars have the talent.

Ghosal: Football is run by Bengali Commies for so long, do you know what is the present state of affairs? India at the bottom. So don't you think it would be wise for you guys to do what you do best, stay at the bottom.

Biswajit, problem is not restricted to India. I have seen this issue in remote parts of United States as well. I can only add Gujjus to the list out here, for some reason I see over representation of these three in the cricket powers that be. At one point there were six to seven players from Mumbai, not Maharashtra, and even to this day captains from non-Maharashtrian states find it impossible to function, you can do the math.

Jaya you are so right, Rediff has this habit of promoting "Southie Coolie" culture. I don't blame them it's in their blood. They have inherited it from their British Masters. Why do you think they utter the word "yesss Sirrre" "Nalla Sirrrre" when they open their mouth. It's like a pet dog, truly believing in his master. Sit southie Sit, beg Southie beg and they do it so religiously. By the way I have seen too many tie wearing "Coolies" while tip of the tie hanging into the sambhar.

Dear Roger:
I can understand your anxiety. Don't worry. Since South Indians are intelligent and hard working, it is a bit uncomfortable for imbeciles like you to compete with them on intellectual basis. The only option open to you is to let loose a series of abusive tirade on the "Southies". I suggest: Instead of trying to deal with them on IT level, you start writing on fantastic topics such as: whether SRK or AB would continue to be the Super Star. I can assure you, the South Indians will not contest you. After all, we recognize, people air their opinions in consonance with their intellectual capabilities and caliber!
