Building the team for the future

This is the heights of futuristic thinking ?

Yuvraj is now 26... considering that the current seniors dont want to retire now and play for another 2-3 years.... PPl like Yuvraj, Kaif, Raina would already be around 29-30... effectively starting their test careers..... which means the next crop of young cricketers get to wait as well...

I guess the trend is never going to come to an end.... If a sachin/Rahul/Saurav score a half century in atleast 1 out of 5 matches.... pawar and co will not have the guts to rest/drop them....

And the best part is Kumble's statement " Yuvraj is a great cricketer and will be the pillar of Indian batting in the years to come ".... Question is when will those years come..... ( after the current crop grows so old that they cant lift their bats ?????)

you are talking as if Yuvraj did not get Test chances. He was a test regular from 2005 till 2006..he lost his place due to injury.

he has to wait..Australian tour will sort out the middle order problems..i am sure

Dear... Do you know when Rahul Dravid & Ganguly have made there debut in Test cricket when they are in there 24-25 & dropped many times. Before becoming the regular members of squad they done struggled a lot. Now when they are playing why the hell you are frustrating.

Pls donot compare Yuvraj with one of the greatest cricketers of all time Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulakar. Take their contributions to the team for the last 10 years consistently. 20-20 worldcup win is nothing in front of beating Australia in a test series.
