While Ashes has always been greatest cricket rivalry and genrates much anticipation, last years sell out was due to the fact that England had one the Ashes edition previous to that in England. The Aussies were pouring in to see an even contest. Though not provided with an even contest, they got their moneys worth to see a England whitewash.
Had India beat Australia while they toured here, the story may well have been different. And no, the Australians know they cant hope to feast on an Indian whitewash. Nah..that can't be.
Good Luck India. You give them a thrashing in the 1st Test and the crowds will pour back in.
Inspite of strong words from Pointing and Lee and australian don't want to be defected in their own soil that why is there is a poor sales. I think that most of the tickets might have purchsed by indian supports. H
