Sachin Is Best always
by Mahendra Prabhu on Nov 29, 2007 06:55 PM  | Hide replies

Even Other team players are still considering his Wicket as the price wicket always. But We indians are reluctanct to admire the real hero. The People those who are questioning sachins ability and record, actually have gone mad. He has won many games for India. Always he had to face worlds toughest bowlers like Mccrath, Bond, Akthar, Warne, Murali, Akram, etc. What really hurts me is comparing him with Ponting. Dont compare sachin with Ponting. He is nowhere near to sachin. Ponding is in Stronger Team(AUS). So he doesnt need to face the Toughest bowlers(Mccrath, Warne etc). If Ponding is in Indian Team, He wouldnt have crossed single hundred against AUS. But Sachin has scored 7 hundreds against AUS. Ask the (World Class) toughest bowlers that Who is the best? Then suddenly they will say that as Sachin. Why dont some indians accept the fact that Sachin is best?. They are all mad. He has won many games single handedly to india. He is calm, polite, nice human being to have around.

He is one of the greatest of his era ..along with Lara,Inzamam,Ponting etc.But ppl tends to go overboards in either praising him or criticizing him.Having said that no batsman created fear in the minds of bowlers as Sir Viv .

He does not scratch his abdomen. He adjusts his crotch guard. They dont come in all shapes and sizes, and the one he uses, is just a little big for him. Thus, before facing each delivery, he would want to be comfortable. The last thing any great batsman would want is to get out because of a strange uncomfortable feeling down there. Sachin wants to be perfect, and he is.

Sachin & Vivian- two living legends of cricket
by Rajdeep Singh on Nov 29, 2007 01:51 PM

Sachin has said that Vivian is his hero. It shows that Sachin is a down to earth cricketer and he always respect the true legends of cricket. Sachin has inspired from the batting of Vivian Richards and has become the greatest ever batsman in the world. When Sachin was a child, he has scored a double century for his school. Due to his great performance, he was selected in the Indian cricket team. Every one was shocked when he was included in the Indian cricket team. But Sachin on his maiden tour of Pakistan has hit four sixes in an over of Abdul Qadir has has marked his entry in the International cricket on an impressive note. He is the only cricket who has scored over 20,000 runs in the both versions of the game. He is really a great cricketer and such players are born once in a century. He is like a pole star on the sky of cricket. I hope that when he will retire, he will have 100 centuries and more than 50,000 runs in both versions of game. For Indian people, he is like a god. For his people, he should play for 6 more years. He is just 34 and can play for more 6 years. I salute such a great cricketer of Sachin's kind. I wish him best of luck for the future.

Dravid Vs Ganguly
by ava desh on Nov 29, 2007 01:02 PM | Hide replies

Dravid is faar better than Ganguly ..
But now a days Ganguly is trying hard as he knows if he fails he is out .. Dravid knows he will be there in all test matches until he retires .. but ganguly will be taken out from tests ... In ODI both of them score kind of similar .. I d not remember when last time Dravid played well in IDI .. Ganguly is good in ODI .. Ganguly is worse fielder than Dravid ..but he can bowl and Dravid can not ...

if u don't remember when last time Dravid played well in ODI, then let me remind u, the ODI series between India and England in england, where dravid scored 92 runs(not out) from 63 balls.....and India won that match by 9 runs....

Ganguly is also a good player, but most of the times he plays for himself than for the team, he is an average bowler but a worst fielder, even boycott's mother can bend her back (to pick the ball!) better than ganguly......

one more point...

Ganguly is far better Captain then Dravid....and done wonders to many young cricketers ..schewag,Harbajan,Pathan,Kaif,Yuvraj,Zaheer they all played very well under Ganguly......No idea how it has happened even when we are saying ganguly is selfish...may be we know more about him then the players who actually played with him and performed well and always was with him(even he had tough time with Dravid and Chappel)

Chaddi Ganguly having tough time with Shoaib on Not so bouncy pitch and no other quality pacer to assist. What he will do on Australian bouncy pitches & Lee Tait like pacemen. Better send Yuvi Gambhir. Ganguly was protected by Tandulkar against pace bowling of Shaib Tanveer And Sami.He Faced 23 balls of Shoaib and holed out in 23 rd ball.how?
Ball no 35.1 Shoaib to Ganguly, 3 runs, Shoaib bangs it in short and angles the ball across Ganguly swats it from wide outside off stump through the vacant mid-on area awkwardly , what a shot that is, with no power so the ball stops in the outfield Ball no 39.1 Shoaib to Ganguly, FOUR, Ganguly moves towards a ball and cuts it into the gap between gully and point, he controlled that well and another four
Ball no 48.1 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, FOUR, Shoaib bangs it in short into Ganguly from round the wicket, Ganguly goes for the pull shot, he doesn't control it and plays it in the at square leg
Ball no 48.5 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, no run, Shoaib bowls a bouncer over Ganguly's helmet, this time Ganguly ducks, he left the bat sticking up like a periscope
Ball no 57.1 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, OUT, caught at fine leg, Ganguly tries to do a Tendulkar and pull, the ball hurries on to him and he gets a top edge which swirls high in the air straight down Sohail Tanvir's throat at long leg

check the captaincy records of dravid and ganguly, then u'll now who is the better of the two.....and more over whatever test matches India has won under ganguly's captaincy, its mainly b'coz of dravid, remove dravid's performances under ganulgy's captaincy, ganguly is waste. Under dravid's captaincy India won test series in WI and Eng. Under ganguly's captaincy India never won a series outside India except in Zim and Bang.

John Buchanan has handed Australia his blueprint to rock Sachin Tendulkar
by Shashank on Nov 29, 2007 12:17 PM  | Hide replies

Some guys in india have less mind and more mouth spits. They dont read the article of Mr Buchanan properly..it goes like this

"Getting the prize-wicket of Sachin Tendulkar during the four-match Test series seems to be high on the Australian cricket team%u2019s agenda and their former coach John Buchanan says he has a blueprint to get the master-blaster during India%u2019s tour Down Under..

" I have noticed that Sachin%u2019s footwork has become slow in the early part of his innings, making him vulnerable to faster and shorter bowling followed by the sucker punch of a fuller delivery as he is not fluid early on "
For that matter any batsman in the world will be at nerves in the begining...

"It doesn't necessarily mean you will get Sachin out with the shorter ball. But you can push him back on his crease and then look for a full ball, which he can tend to squirt to the slips early in his innings when he doesn't have great control "

" He still has greatness within him like all great players. It is still there but it does not appear as regularly "

Cheers..

In a startling revelation Buchanan has pointed out that sachin lost all his greatness, sachin has a sluggish footwork and is a liability against left arm pacemen. The entire world knows the truth, but sachin wud still carry on batting,pathetic...

Read the article properly and you will understand that Aussies still think Sachin's is the prize wicket. Read the excerpts given by Shashank in this page and understand the article in proper perspective.

Ayyoo!! Sriram..GovindhaaaRaajana...
Sachin Sire whill phrove Bhukanana rong Ji! Phathethick!! ha ha..madru go take a hike..Sachin rules. He is in form, they are basically planting a trap by attacking the main guy Sachin. They know how to blunt the rest of the guys! So Chill...Sachin too has played enough (mind) games with these guys..Remember last time Sachin score 241 without a cover drive as they wanted to trap him...No Coach reveals the oppositions weakness in papers. John B has just done this to demoralise Indian team.

Andy, if u want to praise Sachin do it. But bringing in the ethnic identity of Sriram Govindarajan is definitely in bad taste.

Why are also behaving like Rajnikant fans who cannot listen a critical word against their favourite hero? In your case it is Tendulya, fair enough

So u mean to say only Marathi manus should support Sachin and none else

Are u trying to be the Christian version of Bal Thackeray?

Pathetic is what Aussies would like the Indian batting lineup to be when they tour Australia. Aussies are well known for mind games and now with no Warne & McGrath Aussies are scared in their hearts. Sachin is in fine form & hope he lets his bat do all the talking in Australia.
