Bloody harbhajan after his heroics against australia in 2004 (32 wickets) has not done anything for India and still has a place in the team
RE:Chucker Shoaib
by vox populi on Nov 28, 2007 02:50 PM
harbhajan is a chamcha number one--do you remember when he has last bowled outa batsman--has overstayed his welcome-he is lucky to have a gentleman like kumble as captain esp if you remember what ganguly and harbhajan did to him in 2003 WC.

malinga.muralidharan, akthar all r chuckers..if they get banned ..all will blame the white man for showing racisim
Ever since Saurav Ganguly was removed from captaincy there is a hue and cry from the Bengal cricket fans that Rahul dravid was directly responsible for it. It was not the case, Saurav Ganguly was a victim of dirty politics between Jagmohan Dalmia and Sharad Pawar. The fans of sourav ganguly totally misbehaved during last test match played at Kolkatha ground and the damage caused was irreparable. Team of officials was present in South Africa to pacify Greig chapel and Rahul dravid. The whole episode developed a sort of hatredness between kannadigas and Bengalis. It is not the first occasion that Bengal crowd has misbehaved, they have done it on many occasion. Now its again a proud moment of entire India and especially for kannadigas that their hero Anil Kumble who is leading Indian cricket team will walk at eden gardens for the toss. I hope the crowd will surely appreciate and behave harmoniously and also understand the importance of every player. This is good not only for the world of cricket but also for the cricket fans of both the state. The message of mine is not to spark fire again, but to enjoy cricket in real spirit.

Mr. Sun,
I am neither a kannadiga nor a Bengali.. and I am an Indian. After reading your mail, it seems that u have parked the fire. If Bengalis create havoc, it is Indians in Bengal who created havoc... so please, don't write such articles on public forums that shows you as a discriminator than one looking for peace. No one blames a Kannadiga or a Bengali for anything. If someone does that he does it against a person. If I say something wrong to Sachin or Yuvraj, then it is against them, not against a Maharashtrian or Punjabi.. And what is it that u feel proud of a Kannadiga leading Indian team, I thought an Indian leads Indian team. I thought Kumble is an Indian and I am proud of it. Please stop writing such mails on Indian sites and separate people through boundaries. I am sure you understand this.. Let Kumble and Ganguly and all be Indians.
I am proud of Kumble being the new captain- but not at all cause he is a Kannadiga.. Plz don't discriminate..

Dev, my intention was not to hurt the feelings of anyone, I have seen most of the bengalis in this form always write about saurav and any one logically criticizing saurav will be rubbed on the wrong end by saurav fans. When they have so much of craze about their person, why not I have. When dada was sacked they tried to make it a national issue, all you were mum when it happened. Now you are raising objection if I write about my state player. What logic, I do understand that everyone plays for country. Every individual has right to express his feelings. Even selection of players is done on region wise. I have not brought any sort of discrimination in my message. I have appreciated my fellowmen and provided pure facts but not at the cost of criticizing others..

happy to see your message "sun". Just wish to quote here, as a neutral Indian, I saw the discrimination. Nevertheless, I am happy that you did not intend to. Though it might not matter to you as an individual. Further, Just one mention that if people out there in Bengal behave or discriminate themselves, atleast we should not behave the same way. I trust Dravid and Kumble to be one of the best countrymen to have served indian cricket, and so have done players like Sachin, Kapil, Sunil Dhoni, Dada and many others. Lets not look at things with that perspective. I am sure that you are a very gentle fellow, else I would have not got such a decent reply. Hence I urge you to look at things in a different perspective... when u want to encourage a player from Karnataka to play ranaji match, you definitely should and must praise Kannadiga, but when you talking about a National player against another nation lets be straight and make things clear within ourselves that we are a nation. If one out of 25-26 brothers is behaving roughly, all should not follow to become rough. Lastly, I appreciate and I think I am clear about what you have been trying to convey through your message on board. Just that it might not taken in the spirit as you intended it to be.

Guys .... what matters in the history is a series win over pak in 2007. and a 3-0 is a rare opportunity with PAK. Once has to admit that this pak team is the weakest of all times. The absence of S Akhtar would mean a lot to India. (remember the 4 wkts he took during 4th innings). He can turn the match in pak favor single handedly. Letz all cheer India to go for the sweep......

smash, wat the h*ll u r talking,,,, Akther was only bowler threaten Indian Bats everytime he came around bowl.... use a brian...
It will be a big jolt to pak team if shoid doesn't play next game...i think the bowling attack of pakis is teethless without him...Pakistan bowling attack has lost its sting over the years. Once pakistan boost of bowlers like imran khan sarfaraz nawaz, abdul qadir, wasim akram, waqar younis, saqlain mustaq, mustaq ahmed etc. but at present they don't have any strike bowler except shoiab akhtar...which is affecting their performance
RE:Pak performance
by ravi on Nov 28, 2007 11:06 AM
pakistan has talented bowlers including UMAR GUL, SAMI,kameria who have their own class & strength. Any one of them on his day can be dengerous for opposition.
RE:RE:sachin grab yet another record
by Shweta Saigal on Nov 28, 2007 10:33 AM
Thanks Sawant for the meaningless Stats. You will now have people say that Sachin by scoring a 50 was not trying to help India win, he was merely going for another record.
How does Shoaib Akthar manage to get himself injured, sick or just get himself banned in the middle of a tour all the time withut fail? Is he just unlucky? There never was a tour when Shoaib has managed to complete it. He has always been a bits and pieces player for one reason or the other. This is incredible. This did not happen on a regular basis to either Wasim Akram or Waqar Younis. They were careful not to get hurt or sick.
RE:How does Shoaib Akthar do this?
by Sikandar Mala on Nov 28, 2007 08:59 AM
TRUE... this guy might have PACE [courtesy - performance enhancement drugs] but is always has injuries - this is the prime example of folks who have taken steroids - they are very injury prone, however, present illness might have been just accidental...
anyways, this guy thinks HE IS BIGGER THAN GAME, hence lost lots of respect both within and beyond Pakistan. He is getting bigger and bigger but his brains are getting smaller and smaller...
this guy should learn from his peers like imran, Wasim and others...Just imagine! Wasim was diabetic but was just amazing! that's talent man!! I am pretty sure Akhthar is going to have more injuries [again, one of the side effects of JUICE]..
RE:How does Shoaib Akthar do this?
by Shweta Saigal on Nov 28, 2007 10:23 AM
Yes Sikander you are right. This guy thinks he is some special one. Look at the swagger and his attitude.
He reminds me of Azharuddin who also was so egoistic especially when he started his affair with Sangeeta Bijlani. He had bunny teeth (see his early videos) which he later got fixed and suddenly he thought he was Shahrukh Khan.
The reason I make this comparison, I saw when he got some of his wickets he would only go towards Younis Khan and hug him. The other youngsters in team were not even allowed to come close - except for a light pat on his back. This is exactly what used to happen when Azharuddin would take a catch - maximum you were allowed was a low-five that also if he desired. Shame on this attitude.
RE:How does Shoaib Akthar do this?
by Sikandar Mala on Nov 28, 2007 04:52 PM
In simple terms, Akthar is a gone case! HE might get lots of wickets per game BUT his frequency of appearance will slowly diminish!
his swagger and ishtyle:) well less said the better!!!
This the problem with Shoaib - he just does'nt have it in him to be reach greatness - shame with all the talent. To be an Akram, Waqar and Imran - one has to be on top of his game and fitness most of the time. His chest infection coincides with Sanju getting bail. Maybe that is the part of their plan.
RE:Shoaib out
by bharat on Nov 28, 2007 07:31 AM
He has probably taken drugs during the first test to be able to bowl long spells. His problem may be because of the reaction due to an overdose of the drugs.

Shweta.. You might not be pleased with my comment. But problem is that there are few dravid supporters who always abuse me bcoz I am ganguly supporter.
Now please tell me, is there any crime to be a ganguly fan in a democratic nation ? They always abuse me with my name, my religions which are not accepatable at all. Many of them are south indians.. so I say something wrong abt dravid. Indeed i am a sports lover. I luv to see awesome batting of dravid.

Hey Fool, loser Pathan. you can't imagin Dravid will be out of Test squad...even Ganguly may out within 2-3 months. I bet Ganguly will not score 10 runs in both the innings in Kokatta. but Dravid will score min 50 even though Akthar plays.
RE:Asif and Akhtar
by Lotiya Pathan on Nov 28, 2007 06:19 AM
This will give a better chance to dravid to score a test century at kolkata to parmanent his berth for Austriallia tour. Otherwise, with Sohiab , dravid could score in between 34 to 38 only. He has been dropped for ODI side, and if he fails to score in test, he will be dropped for test too.. I pity on that guy. Anyway, I want him to be in Ausuis tour.
RE:Asif and Akhtar
by Spiderman on Nov 28, 2007 11:10 AM
dravid cant be dropped from test squad..he made 34 and 38 and he made two big patnership wit jaffer...they r more than gangulys centuries against zimbabwe and bdesh
ganguly will hit his next century against bdesh...until then wait for bdesh to come to india
dravid had score 214 and 100 runs in ranji matches recently..so he is inform..send ganguly at no3..he will lose his off stump for first ball

Lotiya - I have been reading your comments across the board. Some make a lot of sense and some of them are totally senseless - like this one here. If you want him for the Aussie tour and if your his supporter than show it in a positive way please

lotiya...have you recently started following cricket?
even if he scores less than 20 or 30 an inning in the remainder of this series..he is a certainity for the aussie tour. His test place was never in doubt.
RE:Asif and Akhtar
by Lotiya Pathan on Nov 28, 2007 06:56 AM
salil, accept the truth. I agree, dravid was wall of test cricket. he was gem.
But in last two test series agsnt SA,a nd ENG, he completely failed with bat. Now if he fails again, his inclusion in the side will be in doubts. He is now in the team by his past glory only.
Pls dont fool urself, ask the truth to your brain. There is nothing to abuse Vengsarkar or anybody.

Lotiya, Not he was.. He didn't completely fail against SF and England. Pls dont fool urself, ask the truth to your brain. BTW I am Indian Cricket fan...
He and Sachin are still the best bat for India. He was in full flow against Paki in the first test, unfirtunate that "the ball of the series" claimed his wicket..
