Sehwag has not had one decent outing in Ranji. So it seems he has cooked his goose. If you cannot even get runs in Ranji, you are certainly out.I would go for Raina and not Sehwag anymore.
Karthik is a big junk batsman, who plays once in a blue moon and gives hope but disappoints all the other time.
We need to replace him with some other opener may be gambhir/Parthiv
But I think a better idea is to let Dravid open the innings with Jaffer and bring in Badrinath in lower order. Badri is playing VERY VERY well and is never failing in any matches. It is time to bring him in. My ideal team would read this way...

Yuvraj deserves place ahead of badri...Badri hasnt even played one international match Yuvi is more experienced at the same age and a proven performer so Yuvi ahead of Badri

Gambhir is a good batsman, but he is very flashy, liable to be caught behind in the first few overs. Perhaps, he shud be brought 2 or 3 down. I guess with Umar Gul back, second test should be more close.

No matter boy, even you can choose yourself in the team.LOL I don't know how can a batsman erns a place in national team even when he's not played a single ODI. You might a big fan of Badrinath but that's not enough for him. Raina, Gambhir, Tiwari are doing a great job in domestic cricket nowadays why not they deserve a place in the team. Yovi is at his best, why can't he play in tests. Dude when you'll play on Australian pitches you'll need a hug exp. and Laxman has that exp enough. I know Badrinath is also doing well in domestic but he need a break in ODI first.

I guess now Karthik can be the only casualty. Because all others are playing fine, perhaps Munaf can be replaced with an extra batsman. And Gangu can share the ball with Zaheer Khan.

That would be a very unsafe option...Ganguly as a bowler basically has a shock value. He does well coming in short bursts at some crucial juncture of the game and more often than not does well. He would not be effective as a stock bowler though as he does not have the pace or bounce to soften the batsmen.

Humm you are right dear he can opens for India but many times he throw his wickets early. that's very bad in tests.
