Toast to seniors
by suraj on Nov 26, 2007 10:32 AM

India has won. Looking at performances, it's the seniors that have pulled through. Dravid, Sachin, Ganguly, Laxman & Kumble. Dravid's partnership in the beginning to see the dartling new ball off in both innings and steadying the top order was comendable, Laxman making sure we got a lead in first innings, Ganguly bowling well and batting in the second innings, and Sachin seeing us thru in second innings.I'm happy Ganguly at last has made a contribution to a Test victory(other was a draw in Brisbane in 2003). Ganguly should ball in all tests.Good captaincy by Kumble and Kumble was a well deserved MOM. Hoory and toast to the seniors.

YOU CARTOON IT APPEARS U DO NOT UNDERSTAND CRICKET AND HAVE NEVER PLAYED IT. THE VICTORY OVER B'DESH IS UNDER GANGULY'S CAPTAINCY AND NOT SAURAV'S OWN CONTRIBUTION. FOR UR MEMORY'S SAKE SAURAV HAS LED INDIA TO THE MOST NUMBER OF VICTORIES IN TESTS AND ODI. HE IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL INDIAN CAPTAIN. IN THE IND VS AUST 2003-04 SERIES IN AUSTRALIA UNDER GANGULY'S CAPTAINCY INDIA DREW THE TEST SERIES 1-1 AGAINST STEVE WAUGH'S AUSSIES.LET US SEE WHAT THE NEW INDIAN CAPTAIN( WHOEVER IT WILL BE) DOES IN THE COMING IND VS AUST SERIES OF 2007-08 IN THE AUSSIE LAND. THE GREATEST OF THEM SACHIN SHIED AWAY FROM THE POST OF CAPTAIN AND TRIED TO PUT DHONI ON THE ALTAR BUT HE WAS LUCKY THAT THE SELECTORS CHOSE KUMBLE, AND AFTER THE SERIES WIN UNDER KUMBLE AGAINST PAKIS ANIL WILL REMAIN CAPTAIN

The way the Indian pace attack is breaking down,we may have to look at Ajit Agarkar again for Aus.
The Indian pacers for Aus will be Zaheer,Sreesanth,R.P.Singh.One more will have to go.The guys for this slot are Irfan,Munaf,Ishant,VRVSingh,Ranadeb Bose,Pankaj Singh. It has to be Irfan or Pankaj Singh. Will Agarkar make it?

For the Kolkatta Test give Dhoni some rest and let his ankle heal properly. He has to face the rigours of Aus shortly and no point in straining now.Let Karthik keep wickets and open.Get Yuvraj in.Play Murali Karthik in place of Harbajan who did not look good despite a couple of wickets.
Get Irfan not Ishant in place of Munaf and see how he goes.
If we win the second Test give Rohit Sharma in place Of Tendu,Raina in place of Dravid and Yuvi in place of Ganguly a chance in the third Test.Badri can come in place of Laxman. At least one or two can be tried.

Bring back the real match winner of India - Ajith Agarker. If he was also in the team the test may have already won by India.
