its not important whether india plays to their strength of spinners or not. issue is different. ok v play on spinner friendly pitches here. but wud u take performances of players on such pitches as a yardstick for selecting the team to ausi. the problem is much serius bcoz selectors r going to select the team for ausi on performances of players in the dead turners of ind pitches. if v dont want to lose in ind, then better select team for ind and ausi on different criterias. ie select sub-continent players for ind matches and select genuine batsman for ausi matches.

Javed.......Ha Ha Ha Ha......How anyone can hit strokes after strokes on a pitch with bush !!!! It will be irritating and painful !! Atleast u would be having the experience !!!
india will make 500 runs on a a flat pitch..and they wont even cross 200 wen they bat on bouncy pitch or green top pitches...they shud encourage more green top pitches and bouncy pitches...we cant just always produce spinning tracks and flat tracks...if we continue playing on this pitches..we wont have any chance winning test series in australia,south africa,newzland..
indian team shud exposed to all kind of pitches.so they can adjust easily wen they go abroad

if jaffer hits a double century on this turning wicket..he wud definately be selected for the test series in australia..but u cant gurantee that jaffer will hit century or a double century on bouncy pitches..in australia ....indian batsmen footwork and technique will be exposed in australia...same thing happened b4 in 2003..india cudnt win a test series in newzland ..becoz they cudnt play on a grassy pitch...they were used to turning pitches and flat pitches...
For fools on this message board who are saying that we will loose in Australia by shaving off grass and preventing a loss here dont have a clue what they are talking about.There is a reason they call them "home" matches.Not to prepare a wicket which gives better advantage to the opposition than the home team.Morever we are missing our key pace bowlers.If we lose in Australia it will only be one series.Just because we leave grass here and lose a home series to pakistan will not automatically make us victors in australia.
The time to learn batting against pacers is in domestic cricket not by losing home matches to our arch rivals.
Even australia cannot play spin bowlers.They are not going to make turning tracks against Sri lanka just so that they can better prepare for a Indian series later.

yes australia cannot play spin bowlers... thats why in a turning track like adelaide, they played murali and gave him only 2 wickets...
in both tests hussey and jacques scored centuries... and clarke one of the best players of spin had high scores.

Hello, Playing in one test does not make them the best players of spin.For that matter there are any number of tests that I can point out where Indians handled pace bowlers very well.It is looking at what the overall week point is.

I agree with you fully. given the performance of Indian team overseas in the tracks of west indies, south africa and england, the team which has the likes of dravid, sachin and laxman can tackle the rising ball on grass pitches. Its better to have home advantage with grassless pitches and spinners like kumble and bhajji advantage. chak de india.
think this is a wrong move on the part of the management ; surely the Indian batsmen are much better equipped to handle fast bowling than the visitors ; also , for the first time in the history of Indian cricket, our team has a good enough pace attack !!

yes... one without steve waugh, mcgrath and warne... no one gave us a chance last time and no one will this time either.. but we have played well several times there.

I am not counting anything dude.. all i am saying is that the spinning tracks in india does not have any bearing on our performance in australia.. we did well last time and we have a good chance to do well this time too.. with some luck we may also beat them. by the way none of the bowlers you mentioned are half as good as mcgrath or warne. It is also possible then we lose 4-0 but what the hell..
