Dont talk crap dude. What a joke. Murali can spin on a marble floor. He is the greatest ever spinner without any doubt.

Yep. He can turn only on marble floor. Have you played street cricket where space is the constraint. With bent arms & chucking you can turn on any surface including concrete, tar...
Last month we read the following in most newspapers ... and finally noticed the result of the series, is this what you mean by decent Cricket, play aggressive cricket, Challenge Australia ????
%u201CWe want to play decent cricket %u2026 not like the Indians,%u201D he said before laughing. %u201CWe want to play our game, try to challenge Australia and have a good game.%u201D
Chaminda Vaas, the opening bowler, agreed with his team-mate. %u201CWe%u2019re not Indians, we%u2019re not going to play like the Indians,%u201D he said. %u201CBut when it comes to cricket you have to play aggressive cricket and we are here to play good and smart cricket.%u201D
Dear friend, we have quality players who can be decent agressive Perform, agressive and can peform on some days ... anyway our approch is better and India will play better Cricket in Australia & Only team that can challenge them .. Chackde India.

PunjabiPower- "Maybe in test?" Yes, Indians are going to Aus to play tests, not ODIs. And besides, it is more difficult to defeAt Aus in tests than in ODIs.

Very good post George! Thanks for the reminding that these fools said they dont play like India..and sure enough they didnt!
Shane Warne, at the fag end of his career before he retired, took handsome number of wickets in England (where pitches are not supposedly conducive to spin bowling but favour swing and seam bowlers) to help Australia win the Ashes series.
Now the famed spinner (chucker?) from Srilanka struggles to get even 4 wickets from two tests and his team is beaten lock, stock and barrel.
Reflect, for a moment, of what use are records if they fail to help the cause of the team or fail to entertain the spectators and fans?
As Mathew Hayden said once (although he is not above this obsession, having toyed with Zimbabwe bowling to beat the record of Brian Lara), there is too much obsession for records in the minds of both players and fans from the subcontinent.
The focus has to be (a) playing positively (b) playing in the spirit of sportsmanship (c) entertaining the spectators (d) winning the match for the team you are playing and any record should be a by-product and not the sole aim of any player.
One is reminded of Kapil Dev who overstayed in test arena to beat the record of Richard Hadlee - the irony was that Hadlee took his 430 odd wickets in 89 tests, while Kapil had to play 135 or so tests to claim the same number of wickets. Such perfunctory pursuit of records kills the charm of sports and games.

abey fakir: Kapil played most of his tests at the dust-bowls of India. Even the legends of the game will attest to that. Just because he took so many tests does not make him bad. Also, if you say that Murali is a chucker, do you have the guts to call the other 2 super-chuckers too -- Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar. Each and every ball they bowl is a throw. Its disgusting.

Murali n SHoaib are big chuckers chucking almost every ball ..got their extended career just bcoz of the clout of the asian teams.Lee do chuck for his short balls ..but definitly not like the other two
This is wht makes Aussies great in all departments in the game of cricket in recent times. See how they not only given Sri Lankan whitewash in the series but also prevented Muttaih from breaking the Warne's world record on their home soil.
That is wht they say & exactly achieve in professional manner. Definately there is lot to learn from them instead of wasting our time in criticizing about their attitudes on the field (which is a part of their game plan also).

I liked your comments but there is one problem, if Australia attitude is game plan then why the hell they cannot bear Shreeshanth%u2019s attitude? Why they got shattered and disappointed and started writing against him and Indian team. I guess they are not at all good competitors, they like to do it but cannot bear it from others, which is not at all fair.

attitude is a thing which evrybdy like to have but cnt bear it for others. Same goes with this. It is vry difficult to maintain form and also retain the same attitude

They not only did not allow Murli to break Warne's record on their soil. They hammered him and reduced him to a level of club cricketer. Murli should now introspect a bit and just retire like Atapattu.

Not only Australia, India also hammered him many times. He got all his wicktes against Zimbabwey & Bangladesh & New Zealand, especially when played in Srilanka. Basically he is Javellin thrower.
