Looking at the statistics that have been put up ..........no doubt he is the best ever batsman to have played against ZIMBABWE and BANGLADESH. His test avg. against teams excluding those minnows is 32.856. Has got 4 pairs in his test career and also 22 ducks. I can't understand this still "MARVELLOUS MARVAN" !!!!!!??????

He shoul be greatful to muppets and jokers as they have given somany chances to such a ordinary batsman. Srilanka has history of great batsmen-- Medis, Roy Dias, Arvind deslva, Rantunga, Jaysurya, Sangakara, Jayvardhane and many more. In that Attapatu is very ordinary. Now he will be in right place ICL-International Class three discards Leage. There are few good players too in ICL.

He is pathetic in both versions of the game compared to Dravid. If you take out runs against minows,he is very ordinary. Dravid is probably indias best test batsman alongwith Sachin.

NOT AT ALL DEAR.
SEE DRAVID HAS THE BATTING AVERAGE MORE IN FORIEGN VENUES THAN THE SUBCONTINENT. I BELIEVE HE IS THE BEST TEST BATSMAN INDIA EVER PRODUCED. SO ATTAPATTU CANNOT BE COMPARED WITH DRAVID AS THE WALL. OF COURSE SL HAS A WALL EARLIER THAT WAS THEIR EVER GREAT BATSMAN AND IS THE GREAT ARAWINDA DE SILVA. NOW I BELIEVE SANGAKARA IS THE ONLY BATSMAN HAVE A CLASSIC STYLE IN THE ENTIRE SL TEAM.

u r wrong sameer.just check his record . he scored most of the runs against weaker opposititons like bangladesh and zimbabwe and his average against these teams is more than 90.where as his average against other teams is 30 and 32.
