Sachin Tendulkar cannot be or need not be No 1 player in all the series. A person who is writing article MUST understand this. It is also acceptable even if Tendulkar comes No 3 or No 11 as long as Other players play well better than Tendulkar. IF there are 11 Tendulkars in the team, all cannot be No. 1. What is important is that the contribution made by each player.

YOU SHOULD HIGHTLIGHT if other players are not performing. THAT IS THE JOB OF THE COLUMN WRITER than just antigonising the people by writing Youvraj is just behind Tendulkar.

Secondly, ALL HAVE SEEN SEHWAG. Everybody was saying He is Second Tendulkar and all people were making noise Tendulkar is not performing. Sehwag has shown very good glimpses of the form but what is important how long you can perform with the same form. Today, it is difficult for Sehwag to find a place in eleven players.

THEREFORE DONT KNOW WHAT EXACTLY YOU WANT TO SEND MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE??

1) WHETHER TENDULKAR IS NOT PERFORMING??
2) WHETHER YOUVRAJ IS BETTER THAN TENDULKAR??
3) OR WHETHER AFTER SEHWAG IT IS YOUVARJ?

OR SO ON ...

MORALE: WRITE THE GOOD THINGS FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE!!

vengi and co played dirty politics to drop dravid from odis why not same yardstick appoies to others dravid was dropped after 4 bad perfomance batting in diff positions in five matches
bjji was wktless in 6 matces till he took 2 for 43 in 4th odi against ausses he never dropped but played full seires against pakistan
zahirkhan performs once in 5-6 matches but he is survived
gnaguly's last five innings 0 39 6 39 with 3 lifes and 5 but he is stilll part of odi team gnaguly is worst fielder and poor in running btn wkt thany any other player
RP singh replaced sresant but proved he is worst than sresant.
dhoni always gets runs in dead pitiches of subcontinent but he was total failure in fast bouncy pitiches of SA and WI
rules never applies to tendulkar
If performance is yardstick to drop players then tendulkar, dhoni, zahir bajji and gnaguly would have out of team long time before..
Vengasarkar told dravid did not inform him after resinging captaincy Even tendulkar declined captaincy offered by vengi. |Even TOI reporeted that vengasarkar tried to persue tendulkar twice
now vengasarkar will take revenge against tendulkar?

I wholeheartedly agree with your comments particularly regarding dropping Dravid. As told by Millions of cricket fans, Dravid is a 'selfless' cricketer, a rare breed in Indian cricket. I agree he was not in form with Australia. Vengsarkar has been an outstanding player during his era. However, as a selector, he is just a politician, a person who stood for obvious personal egos.
1) Dravid has to be recalled
2) Ganguly to be dropped forever and should look for other opener.
3)Dhoni should not be in Test Team when we plays in Australia. Either Karthik or Parthiv should replace him. Dhoni is not a technical player and will find hard to score runs in australian lively pitches.
4) RPSingh still a young cricketer, we can give him more chances.
5) Zaheerkhan/Harbajhan should be a rotation players where young cricketers like Piyush Chawla/Praghyan Oja should find a place. I don't know about upcoming fast bowlers.
6) We are yet to find professionals for management of Indian Cricket instead of dirty politicians who has no or little idea about cricket.
7) Selectors should include experienced batsmen, fast bowler, Spinner, Cricket Journalist & professional cricket administrator
8) You can take examples from Australia, New Zealand where head of cricket boards are professionals not players.
9) Above are personal opinion, nevertheless, we should look into future of cricket with rapid changes in selection & administration of cricket particularly

pls dont compare with ganguly with beloved dravid on one dayers.
ganguly played 2 innings of 39, india won both the maytches.
ganguly took one wicket, and made 5 runs, india won the match. whenver he contributed little, india wins.
they rested ganguly on last odi, u know the results.
he is allways a motivator for the team, provides enrgy others to perform.
without ganguly, india sucks..its is proved again and again..

Please don't make comparisons with Dravid & Ganguly. Ganguly is a good player who has excelled in bowling & Batting. But Dravid & Ganguly are different type of players. Dravid's batting style admired by world of millions and a model for boys & young cricketers in Australia, England, South Africa & New zealand, etc. His techniques, ability to score runs and plays in any kind of ptiches, is absolutely fine. Ganguly was a good player earlier, now, he has lost his good form, or bowlers are able to restrict ganguly. Just one poor form, Dravid is dropped. He has scored Double century followed by a Century which shows he regained his form. He has to call back. Otherwise we will struggle in Australia. Only Sachin,Dravid,Laxman can score runs in Australia. You may please check the scores of other players who has already played in Australia.so, Dravid is different breed of world cricket like Sachin. Nobody can compare with him.

How many time in ODI history you have seen opener hitting the winning runs. Sachin is an opener he will only do his job as an opener ie to give good start.

After he goes others will have take the mantle and ensure the win. The mantle is taken by the batsmen who come at 4-5. Please see the history of the game.

The 4-5 batsmen is Yuvi and Dhoni so they hit the winning runs. While chasing 320 Butt and Younis did waht had to be done then came Afridi he hit 28 in 14 and the match was won.

So Sachin gives good opening but most of the times he does more than that then he is out if others perform we win else we loose

Bradman never missed a Tendulkar innings in last five years
by Ritwik Bhuyan on Nov 20, 2007 09:53 AM

Sir Donald Bradman was first impressed by Sachin Tendulkar while watching a one-day game against Australia in the 1996 World Cup and never missed a chance to see an innings from the Indian maestro after that, the book 'Bradman's Best' reveals.

"Australia won (that match) but not before a stunning 90 from Tendulkar that captured the Don's attention," the book, which chronicles each of the 12 members of the 'Dream Team' selected by Bradman, says in the chapter 'The Star of India'.

The book, authored by Roland Perry which has seen just half a day in the shops, has already become a best-seller with a strong response reported from buyers.

"He was most taken in by Tendulkar's technique, compactness and his shot production and had asked his wife to have a look at the Indian as he felt that Tendulkar played like he had. Jessie agreed that they appeared similar.

"Bradman never missed a chance to see Tendulkar from then until the end of the 1999 three-match Test series in Australia," the book says.

"Bradman ranked Brian Lara and Tendulkar as the best batsmen in the world and found it difficult to judge who was better. He thought that Tendulkar had a very sound defence while Lara was marginally more aggressive and took more risks.

"By 2000, he held the view that they were the best in world cricket, but that Tendulkar just pipped Lara as the world's number one," it says.

Replacement required for Uthappa,Gambhir
by sajin mv on Nov 20, 2007 09:51 AM

The concluded ODI series though played in India,Gambir & Uthappa has shown their inability to play against average bowling attack. So what they are going to do in Australia where lively tracks and great fast bowlers are waiting. Rohit sharma has once again shown his capacity and he require more match practice and he is suited for the post of No.3.But, I still recommend Dravid for the same. We cannot ignore Dravid. Uthappa has never performed at No.3 despite 2-3 knocks of 40 odd runs, because this is not T20. While Raina,Badrinath, Tiwari all are waiting for their turn, we can look replacement for Gambhir as well. He is poor in techniques especially foot movement and not able to score. Definitely, we have to think an alternate player for Ganguly, since Sehwag is not yet recovered his old form. If BCCI wants a team which can win and loss, instead of looking into building a strong and professional team like Australi, we can ignore the above comments easily.
