Guys,,... come on!! This is just a game and people get excited.. haven't you ever fought during even a school game?.. think of pressure at that level, at the end of the day its just a game.. you apologise for what happened in heat of the moment and move on. Bravo Afridi for apologising now he and Gambhir should shake hands and close the matter for good..

Salute to Afridi for his gesture. This gesture will go a long way in eliminating occurences of similar incidents.

Long live the cricketing ties between India, Pakistan.

I agree we should play more often , quality of cricket is much better than any other game.. I have been saying for years that India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and B'desh should break away from ICC and start their own league with 10 teams from India 5 from Pakistan, 3 from SL and 1 from Bangladesh and play for 8-9 months a year and then 3 montsh break. No need for our money to go outside the subcontinent.

Gr8 Gesture by Afridi
by on Nov 14, 2007 12:05 PM

It does not matter whether Afridi or Gambhir was responsible for the spat on the field but I really appreciated the candid way in which Afridi put an end to the matter.Perhaps Gambhir should also have done the same and this would not have in any way let us(Indians) down.Keep it up Afridi for such a wonderful gesture and sportsman spirit. After all its just a game.

OK
by Mohan on Nov 14, 2007 11:45 AM  | Hide replies

He must have got afraid. There is an emergency in Pakistan and if he is recalled like they did for Sohaib, life will get difficult. By apologising he has ensured that he will stay in India for another one and half month and little more peace of mind. Life is better here Afridi but we don't tollerate foul mouth like they do in Pakistan. We have accpeted your apologies. Please crawl back under the rock you came from...

Mohan it looks like you are right, because I dont understand, because it was Gambhir, who first pushed Afridi, while taking a run, then he used a very BAD Language that cannot be expected from a so highly educated and playing a noble game (Cricket)by abusing Afridi"Teri Maaaa"""" & Bahn xxxxx" and yet again it was Afridi who apoligised, it is very strange

Great of Afridi
by Damian Martin on Nov 14, 2007 09:55 AM

Afridi, I dont know if you would read this note of mine, but let me say it was real great of you to openly acknowledge an error of yours and appologies for the same. With people of your class, it just exposes your simplicity. We did meet once if you remember, on an aircraft form calcutta - Delhi. I saw you in person, you seemed simple, and here you have exposed in reality that you are a frank, honest and practical man. Congratulations!
