Did the cricketer read all these messages???
by arun acharya on May 28, 2007 08:25 PM  | Hide replies

It is not worth to discuss about Indian cricket. After beating Bangladesh now they feel very proud and think they are the BEST team in world. This is the same team who ruined the faith of 1 billion people during the world cup. Where they were sleeping when Bangladesh slapped them in World cup. My dear friends this team never feel shame. For their politics we Indian were cried. For them people's emotion is not significant, they played for money. So it is not worth to discuss Indian cricket, unless those crickter read these comments. This is for the first time I am putting my comments, because I feel that we are really wasting our time thinking about Indian cricket.

Nobody said either that they are feeling proud or that they are "the best team in the world". And I don't remember them asking us to believe that they will do this and that at the world cup. We can say our emotions don't mean a damn to them. But how much are we understanding their emotions? When we think of cricketers we think of all the stars. But how about a guy like Partiv Patel, or L Balaji, who are qualified for much lesser jobs than most of us if they don't get a place in the team, just because they dreamed of playing cricket for India. Why should they sacrifice for us? What have we done to them? They put in years and years of hardwork to be where they are now and they have taken a big gamble with their lives, where they are either kings or paupers..maybe we should all think through things a bit more..

Team back on track ?

What a shameless words from the Indian Captain!
Past is past... Ha ha ha... Dear Dravid, for you only past is past. But, we Indian's won't forgive you (the captain) for the pathetic performance in the world cup. I am sure that if Ganguly were the captain in the world cup, India would have been reached atleast in the semifinal.
Now, Dravid told that the team is back in form. We challenge you Dravid, can you win a single test in australia under your captaincy? (I admit that you are one of the best batsmen in the world, but at the same time, you are one of the worst captain India ever produced). In the last australian series, Dravid batted very well. But, do you people remember, how many runs he scored in the 1999 Australian series? 90 runs from 3 tests under the captaincy of Sachin.

So, pls shut up and tell these words only after winning a test in Australia.

You should keep your immature comments to yourself--what do you mean---under Ganguly we would have reached semi final in WC--how? First check statistics--maybe you are pissed because there is no one from tamil nadu or kerals who has ever led team india!!

I don't see why he has to stop speaking just because you said so. And on what basis you can speak on behalf of all indians that you won't forgive him? And by the way, did he seek it?

well said sarath. i certainly dont agree with this stupid rajesh. i forgive dravid for the wc, hell it wasnt even his fault. if u had watched the world cup, he was the one that stood alone like a real captain should have done against sri lanka, through cramps and heat. if ganguly was captain, im sure he wouldnt have done that.

U idiot......wat can a captain do if d players dont cooperate? Its not Rahul's fault dat d Indian team failed at d WC....had Rahul led d Aussies they wud hav been known not just 4 their performance but 4 their on-field discipline too.....Rahul is far far better than d selfish Ganguly.....His selfishness is obvious in every innings he plays.....esp in recent times....even in d just concluded Bangla series......So just dont go talking idiotic n cum 2 reality.....

by vaibhav mehrotra on May 28, 2007 01:20 PM

My dear Sir...What oppurtunity you talking about...the performance is purely based on merit..if somebody in the team performs bad he sits out and then the younger plyers should get oppurtunity..unfortunately we don have a back up for our senior players yet..

Cricket

With such a vast history of Cricket & Senior Biggies with Big names we were bound to win.

We had taken a Big Army to conquer a tiny island, which was not justified.

This was done as safe move,to play our strong team to avoid further embarassment.

It could have been convincing if we had won the series with players in Dressing Room (Rajesh Pawar,VRV)in the Playing XI and big names (Yuvraj/VVS) taking rest.

Lost opportunity
by India on May 28, 2007 12:17 PM

India lost a great opportunity to try out new and young players against a minnow team like Bangla. Ishanth Sharma was the only new kid in the block. All others were veteran players, some of them (like Dravid, Sachin, Ganguly,Laxman and Kumble) are refusing to give a chance to young players.

India can't win abroad
by India on May 28, 2007 11:19 AM  | Hide replies

Let India win a series in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and England. Then Dravid can brag all he wants. This win should be forgotten as soon as possible. There is no fun or enjoyment in beating a team like Bangladesh which India is supposed to win anyway.

yea, hes not braggin there. and people shouldnt criticise dravid by sayin o he shouldnt say anything cos bangladesh are no aussies, or english or wateva. we are going there this year, we will see what happens. but for now, what else is he supposed 2 say: 'thank you, bye, nice talking to you?' it would be an insult to bangladesh to discard them publicly as simple opponents. but u being a typcial india fan dont understand these things

Team back on track ???? Huh, what a great joke ?
by Rajeesh Rajan on May 28, 2007 11:10 AM

Team back on track ??? Nice joke. Only two back you guys brought shame upon our nation by displaying a pathetic performance in the World Cup. You may have forgotten but we Indians won't. For you guys, cricket is just a side business; you hardly find time to improvise your playing skills in midst of all your advertisement commitments. Just remember this, you can't fool all people all the time. Anyways, I've stopped watching cricket, its a long, boring game nowadays with Australia dominating all matches. We can predict who will win within first 10 overs itself. Better watch games like football, tennis or Formula One as these games are more exciting and unpredictable. At least we don't have to handle the pressure of watching our country playing in these games !
