ICL is the best thing to happen to Indian cricket. It's time the members of the BCCI politburo had some competition - one might actually get to see some 'real' cricket rather than all those thrown matches, like the WC 2007.

This will be a real dent to BCCI's monopoly. ICL would be run like a corporation, I hope their will be some positive outcome for Indian cricket

If you had some Cricketing knowlede and had seen Mcrath bowl in WC 2007, you wouldn't have said this.

sir, ofcourse he bowled well in WC, but cricket needs some fresh legs like that of shaun tait, mashrafe or our own RPS, munaf....
It is a great idea in the right hands. ICL should also have rating system that not only give points for bowling and batting, it must also give points for catches taken point, catches missed - point, runs saved on good fielding. The overal points aggregated can thus be ranked. Apart from 20 twenty there can be matches between state teams and the national team playing for a cup. Balu Sankar

kiran more as a selector for the ICL..lol. ICL is truely getting scwered this way!!!!
When Lara, Warne, Mcgrath, Inzamam will play in ICL then it will be best for indian visitors, but when Kiran More will be in this then there will be a lot of problem, because everyone knows about him, he is not a great person, he is only the person who wants to deal their business. He is only a crickter not a great cricketer. He will start his politics soon in ICL

Let Mr More be more in the Board and enjoy his life at at the helm of affairs. However, his being invovled in the game shall not generate ample adverse effect, if so, in an environment where Lara, Macgrach, Shane, Inzamamum and other Genuis of the INtenational Crickets are present to prempt any mischievous thought like this.
Glenn Mcgrath's willingness to consider being involved in the ICL will be a shot in the arm for the proposed league. If other greats also throw their hats in the ring, I'm sure it'll be a great opening for ICL. High time we had an alternative to BCCI and its inept, politics-ridden administration. If things finally work out, it could be a small step in the right direction for Indian cricket.
It'd be great to have Glenn McGrath playing in India. But hello, what's wrong with you guys? I mean, your description of 'former greats?' While Kapil Dev, Dean Jones and Tony Greig no doubt qualify to be called 'great', by what yardstick does an ordinary, also ran, has-been and cheap politicking person like Kiran More make it to your list of 'greats?' Or does every player who simply stops playing become automatically 'great?' Jaganniwas Iyer

rightly said, in that sense i dont feel Dean jones & Tony greig can also be called great. OFcourse Tony greig is a great commentator, excellent orator. Only kapil / Mcgrath should be called Greats.
