And BCCI wants this idiot to be India's coach? But BCCI is the biggest idiot of all. May God help Indian cricket. They put India to bat and failed to grab a single wicket sans all dropped catches and umpiring gaffes. Unbelievable.
Coaching Bangladesh is more easier as If you win ( ie every sixth ONE day ), The coach and the Team gets the Credit. If you lose any match ( to whatever margins ) The Coach and the Captains are not in under any pressure.
But coaching India ( As Greg and Wright will agree ), If you win you are in more presure to sustain it till the End & If you lose ( even by a small margin ), then the coach and the Players are abused, Slapped and every one who knows the word Cricket will coment on them.
I am very sure that a good Coach for India needs to be a good person in man management skills with a lot of communicative talents than being a pure coach, Since a coach is not required for the players who have been selected from crores of Indians.
The players are talented, They only need Good Support and spirits to provide results.

Don't compare John Wright with Rascal Chappel. The problem mainly lies with politics of BCCI than the coach. Even if Whatmore is selected as coach all his good ideas would not work as he would not get a free hand & he would be a stooge in the hand of Pawar& Co. Even Rascal Chappel played all the politics of selcetively leaking to the press the Emails etc at the behest of BCCI.

Surej I totally agree People who don;t understand C of cricket also comments in India but I think Whatmore has doen a good job keeping low profile like Wright with SL and BD so he may be good coach.

If a coach couldnt anticipate the happennings for the day (from Bangla side) then he is surely unfit to coach INDIA. If he is appointed then i gaurantee he will be worse than Greg.

oh yeah, How many times Indians misread the Wicket Remmebr Lords 1990 , SemiFinals 1996 to name a few.... how can anybody predict whats going to happen in future. Ganguly took chance with Aussies and won in Calcutta where as Dravid took chance in Dhaka and his bowlers did not come to terms.... does that make Dravid a weak captain..

my friend lets dont blame him..u knw both the batsman has offered chances whn there score was between 10 and 20..it would hav been easily 30/2 or something like tht and pressure would hav been on our middle order.unfortunately thy spilled the chances tht came their way.anyway our batsman has done good job and hope thy wil continue the same tomorrow,build on a big total and we wil b able to st attacking field and put pressure on bangla team.
