Well I m also one of the biggest fans of Sachin Tendulkar%u2026. But he is not the right candidate for captaincy.. He is at the downfall instead of giving him responsibility; he must be allowed to play his natural game%u2026

I can see why they left laxman & yuvraj out. Hopefully they will get picked for the next tour.

I dont see why we NEED 5 bowlers, this is Bangladesh not Australia lol.

Guess we will have to watch people say ganguly & sachin proved themself to earn a spot on the team. Against a team like bangladesh its quite sad if this is the reason they get picked for the next tour & stay on the team for the rest of the tour(test matches atleast).

Dravid ki jai ho .....
by Indian on May 25, 2007 06:33 AM  | Hide replies

Fist he played politics to become the captain, then again unecessarily sticking to that position like a Leech. now he has started playing politics with Laxman and Yuvraj. Reason.... Yuvraj the biggest threat to Captain Dravid and Laxman having good captaincy skills too (last SA tour he was the vice-Captain). Dravid ki jai ho.......kya dimag paya hai, bhagwan jaane saalla kab retire karega !!!

Do You know ABCD of cricket ? You are assuming the rolwe of the God who provides that divine help that the Indian team needs now. Grow up! Crackpot! Dravid has been the backbone of Test team for so many years now. You want him to retire!

u idiot , u people shout past is past , then that past applies to Dravid too. Laxman has been the backbone of many wins in and abroad.
proof is the first test in South Africa. U can't afford to loose Laxman...come on...Give Jaffer rest..he is inconsistent...will make a hundred and then score 0-10 in the next 5 innings, useless fellow...ask Saurav to open and bring in Laxman in middle order....

You are a Maha Crackpot, more that what I thought of! I am a great fan of Laxman. To include this 'good for nothing' Ganguly, Dravid had to drop him. It is logical. Moreover, have you seen the Saurav's Century Shot in the last match? It shows his competency for opening the innings! Imagine this man facing people like Shohaib or Tait!

dravid is not a man of politics. he himself is the victim of politics by ganguly. in tests dravid's batting order has been changed friquiently, but, he proved that when it comes to performance he is the best in the game, proving each & every outing. the same way, when he made captain, he wants everybody to prove. it is not politics, he is going in the right direction. people loke u don't understand this. look at the way kumble was handled by ganguly.
NOW U TELL ME WHO IS DOING POLITICS.

which is the right direction mate ???
1st round of WC, 1st round of Champions Trophy, loosing to bangladesh....which one ??
I am not a great Fan of Ganguly but I know he was far far better than this Dravid as a captain...Dravid knows nothing about captaincy, can't even control a team and dreaming of lifting WC...ha ha ha bloody-fool.

not aonly me whoever has brain will understand what Politics Dravid is playing...standing by a nonsense like Sehwag, dropping Laxaman-Yuvraj, dfferences with Sachin, Licking Greg's-pawar-niranjan's a-s-s, sticking to captainct like a leech even after loads of humiliaion and u know the infamous Ganguly issue.
Sachin shud be the captain and Yuvi VC, no place for Dravid in oneday team.

Lesson for Yuvraj and Laxman is that when you get chance cement your position. Sachin and Saurav did exactly same in the 1st test.

Dravid is the greatest politician of Indian Cricket
by ganessin virappin on May 25, 2007 04:48 AM  | Hide replies

Laxman and Yuvraj are deserving candidates and they should be there in the playing 11. The 5 bowler strategy is uncalled for. In the past we played with four bowlers and won matches. Now we play with five bowlers and draw matches.
It is very bad strategy. But politically Dravid had put lot of pressure on Sachin, Ganguly, Laxman and Yuvraj. Four bowlers are enough and Laxman and Yuvraj should play in the places of Dhoni and the fifth bowler. Dravid is again and again proving that he is the greatest politician of Indian cricket. I think he will see to that India is not winning any matches and spoil Indian team morality.

Yes he too was good.As i said earlier, they have been left out to make room for the oldies.I can understand that in test level they wanted Vengsarkar's oldies, but not in one dayers. They should have given a chance to all the people who did well in Ranji.
Otherwise we will see the same people in 2011 i.e. Kumble,Dravid,Sachin,Saurav,Zaheer,Agarkar,Laxman,Harbhajan and Sehwag.
And the younsters still waiting for chance and our selectors still talking about the golden age when sachin, dravid and saurav used to win some matches for India.

I don't really mind if these people continue doing ads at that time,as long as they relinquish their positions in the team.

DRAVID-SHOULD HV TO JOIN POLITICS
by j p on May 25, 2007 02:38 AM  | Hide replies

DRAVID hv to join politics..
he dropped laxman as he is better test player than him and he dropped yuvi as he is next captain of india. so he dont want him to get settle in team. so he can be in a team and as a captain till 2011 world cup.
great politics dravid... keep it up..

as we know karthik is good promising cricketer but compar to laxman he is not good as test cricketer.........
laxman should be in and karthik or jaffar should be out.......

what do u think guys??

I agree with you.I think Dravid is best suited in ugly politics. This is the easiest conclusion that one can draw by seeing him still as a captain after India's debacle. His performance as a cricketer has come down rapidly. He is no more dependable as a batsman and never as a captain. He is in the team right now because of his regional lobby. He has done enough harm to the Indian cricket and should be rested.A shameless fello.Let the new comers get in.

i think u r stupid, because u think dravid did those things. u read way too much into this. cant it just be that he thought yuvraj isnt ready and disciplined YET for the test team, and laxman is not consistent. yes, i agree he should have given laxman a run, but its got nothing to do with politics. dravid is a down to earth man, not affected by his ego.

Hey Jayant,.... you think this guy can think . No way ..he is just following some reports reported in some media without applying his mind .....
so better to ignore such ignorants and let them think whatever they want to..
and what he says is Laxman in and Karthik out...
earlier the same guys were baying for seniors blood and asking for youngsters to be in team...

asking for consistency from team and players,,, show consistency yourself first.....
