Being a fan is ok but how to explain when these great players are not able to win matches in favour of India. Is it not correct that present defeats are also to be taken into account rather than just past records of all these great players. What does it indicates, If both the greats Sachin and Saurav play a similar silly shot just after completing their centuries? Were their centuries important or scoring more runs for India at a higher run rate so that Indians were not required to play second innings and that could have provided lot of extra time in rain truncated match. Would Hayden, Ponting have played the innings in the same way our greats played? If not then why shouldn't these greats be rated below them and paid accordingly.
Guys...the only player who can make india win by coaching is Mohd. (B)azharuddin. He is known material for match fixing..he will make sure that india kept on winning against kenya, netherlands, ireland, bermuda...lets all support him. He is our only hope as he will great in match fixing.

Well, dear friends Do we think that Sachin, Rahul or Saurav need any coach. Even if Bradman comes back to earth, he will not be able to handle these shameless fellows. They have got their own technique. And how to play well and win matches when your team is at 95/7, then it all depends on your attitude which unfortunately no coach can give. The real story is that our fellows have become head strong and they feel that no body should question them. Recent outburst of Sachin is the latest example. How can Sachin think that nobody should question him. Nobody said that he had a wrong attitude or had a bad technique. What Chappell said was he had to be more responsible when chips are down for India. And that is when Sachin always fails or has been failing recently. I feel that people like Mohinder Amarnath could be very good coach provided he is given a young side. Whether it is Whatmore, Chappell or Bradman, thay will never succeed in presence of shameless Sachin, Rahul and Ganguly. Yes, it is also true Azhar can be a good enough coach, but he should be given a brand new side without Sachin, Rahul and Ganguly. These shameless never seem to respect anybody. If Sachin becomes a coach, then I will not be surprised, because any way he will be in the playing eleven and nobody will question him!!
No coach can teach people at 34 how to play short pitch bowling. He can nuture a boy of 16. Not Ganguly. No coach can tell you what should be your attitude when
Sachin n Sourav are complimenting each other. Sachin is even coaching sourav about how to play short pitched deliveries. Boodhape mein buddhon ko ek doosre ki jaroorat padti hai. Dono buddhe ne..kya century banaya. It was like watching an F1 race with cars speeding at 20km/hr. btw, i get to see repeat telecast of some newzealand Vs Aus matches aur asli cricket ka mazaa aaya.

even small country players also playing for their country i dn't know why BCCI keep on selecting failed crickers.

show me any cricketer or even any sports man whose plays international matches and dont get paid. Dont talk crap here. PLaying for country does not mean you have to play without expecting money. Are you ready to do anything for country and expect nothing.

It is not a matter of handling crisis...if i m not able to handle crisis i m accepting it and making a way out for a person who can...this thing must come in Sachin and Saurav...they are not accepting that their failures are sign of their incapability to handle pressure...

The way you said it seems that you have a proof becuase if this is just your opinion it cant stand a trial. You views cynical at best. We Indians (Guessing VSS is an Indian too) are basically apologetic people we never take pride in what we do and lose all senses when we get defeated. When we defeated PAK in 04, many people said oh some of their main bowlers were not there. When we defeated Aussies in 03-04, "oh it was one-off victory' why cant we say that we won because we played better cricket. We lost becasue we didn't. We laud our'83 winners rightly so, but how many of you know or remember that they lost to WI 0-5 in '83 home series. What was that? a sell out? or WI were just better. No one plays without money. we dont work in companies without a salary. Players also want it. If Sachin is helping Saurav what;s big deal? You dont enjoy that's fine. but dont ridicule it man....
Any sport you take,,. be it tennis, cricket or football. A Natural gifted player can never be agood coach. He never came thru the system thru the hard knocks, because he was sooo gifted that it came soo easy for him.
SO, it was no suprise that Greg Chappel was a failure. or even Kapil Dev is a failure as a coach. I think , Jimmy Amarnath will be a good coach.

"Who will be a good coach?" is a multimillion dollar question. No one knows this. All we do is speculate. One thing is for sure that we do not have Indian coaches for consideration. History suggested that Indian coaches have not been able to maintain discipline which is key to success.Shastri could be an exception and he is not continuing. Personally, I would like to see Shastri to the Coach. He has a good cricketing brain and he is articuate. Among others, Whatmore has a good track record. I never considered Richards as a great captain. I am not sure of his coaching abiilities. Wright does not want to be back. I dont think Amarnath is going to try again. Rest everyone seems to have dear of life after Woolmer's death.
So we might end up with Dev Whatmore. But its ultimately the team who must perform. We have quality players. So whatmore must apply his ideas and technique to make them perform rather consistently. Lets hope... Thanks

I think munaf patel will be a good coach. coz, he doesn't have the fitness to play either ODI or test and more over , coach for india need not be fit , organized or thinking. If he contain all these qualities then it would become difficult for the seniors to survive. Btw, ramesh powar is also in the race and he got a beer belly to his credit to prove that he indeed fits the coach's role

Great Players doesnt make Good Coaches. Coaching is a specialised job. We seen that.
BTW, What do you mean by "But That Aint never gonna happen". Please dont mix the american slang and English. That doesnt mean anything. Its wrong and sounds ugly forming of words.

I think viv would be a perfect coach for indian team because they need what he was good at, "mental toughness". I think the team knows the basics but mental toughness is what's lacking. I would love to see the carefree attitude instilled in indian team that he used to have in his playing days. They would be able to beat anyone as long as they don't get intimidated by anyone. Let's face it majority of indian people who haven't lived abroad are white skin worshipers. Aussies are very good at intimidating other teams and win half the battle before the match even begins. Take golf for example, anyone who has capability of making the pro tour knows how to play the game but not many are tough minded like tiger is and you see the results. Once one knows the game, game is only 10% and the other 90% is his/her state of mind.
