India should look over into a unsung new captain
by cebu jonas on May 22, 2007 05:42 PM

------------
India should forget all used (useless) captains like, Tendulkar,Ganguly & Dravid...

Country must look into a new unsung captain who can lead enthusiaistically...

VVS LAXMAN is not tried as captain so far..

Give him a tour to any country..

Or we should recall Kaif...

Or Karthick as Mr. Chapell's idea..

Or we should employ a new face like Badrinath

Also Irfan Pathan, Peyush Chawla & Randeb Bose should be included in the team ASAP

Dravid fears ex-captains ?
by cebu jonas on May 22, 2007 05:32 PM

I dont know why Dravid is so in-experimenting captain.

He had Ganguly, to bowl, did not call him.

He could use a part time try to make Karthik bowl, when bengla did very good home work unde Watmore, about all indian regular bowlers.

Dravid could easily surprise by sending Dhoni to open 2nd inns.

Few good filed placements...nothing came up...

Draws are not meant against a team like BD

oh well, i guess ganguly or laxman could somehow make the half baked un-enthusiastic or less skilled, or less experienced bowlers - as is the case bowl better. magic eh ?

sachin and sourav should open the innings in one day

Sachin and sourav should open the innings for the one dayers because they are best opening pair in the world and both of them will really do good.

yeah, before they part ways they could still be tried. since all our plans to get a decent opening pair is failing anyways. get the classic pair on!

IMRAN, STEVE WAUGH, PONTING...all about Captains
by cebu jonas on May 22, 2007 01:12 PM  | Hide replies

---------------
Teams who performed in the modern world cricket relied a lot on their Captains Wisdom & AGgression...

1992......a lost team like PAK won only coz of Imrans aggression

1996....Jayasuryas agression beaten all(was not cap)

1999....Waughs aggression in semi vs SA gave aussie the cup

2003...Pontings attacking mind set to victory

2003....Ganguly came so close with the same agression, but lost coz of politics in the team

There were captains like Fleming, Smith, Lara, Vaughan, Nasser Hussain..who were more copy book than being aggressive...they lost

Dravid is nore copy book, nor aggressive...wasting time

Agreed Dravid is not an out of the world captain. Should be retained as a player.

STUPID ITS NOT HOW AN INDIVIDUAL PLAY BUT ITS HOW THE TEAM PERFORM UNDER HIS CAPTAINCY. AND AS FAR AS THE ANALYSIS ARE CONCERNED GANGULY IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL CAPTAIN.

ALSO ATLEAST GANGULY WAS ABLE TO PERFORM AGAINST MINNOWS BUT WHT ABT DRAVID, HE ISNT ABLE TO PERFORM AGAINST THEM EVEN,AND THATS THE REASON WE LOST TO BANGALDEST IN THE WORLD CUP. JUST GET SOME KNOWLEDGE OF CRICKET AND THEN SPEAK.

whatever your thinking of logic is. dravid might have been poor against bangla as a captai, and ganguly a great captain when he ws in form. but on that fateful day - ganguly's slow innings cost us the match!

he was a good captain in his heydays. towards the fag end of his career, he sucked bigtime. he lost form , nor was he doing great as a captain. all he had to do was take a break feigning injury, but with his larger than life ego, he blew it all up and then expected everyone to give him a red carpet forgiveness and wlcome into the team for his past services. but being a player for the country is a greatest chance one gets, and cannot expect any further courtesies. people forget that.
