I CAN,T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON IN DISCUSSION BOARD ABOUT RAHUL SACHIN AND GANGULY. WHY DO YOU FORGET THAT EACH OF THEM HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE INDIAN CRICKET. HOW DO YOU COMPARE THE CAPTAINCY QUALITIES OF GAVASKAR, KAPIL SACHIN, GANGULY, DRAVID. EACH OF THEM HAVE THIER OWN STYLE. WE CAN'T HELP IF SOMEBODY DOES NOT LIKE DRAVID'S CAPATINCY SKILL AND SOMEBODY GANGULY'S. IT IS THE HABIT OF INDIANS TO WORHIP CRICKETORS AS GODS WHEN THEY PERFORM AND ABUSE WHEN THEY DO NOT. PLESE GIVE MORAL SUPPPORT TO OUR PLAYERS WHEN THEY FAIL. DEFINITELY THEY WILL REGAIN THEIRM FORM.
RP Singh was the quickest of the lot in this match bowling at a steady 140 to 145km. He was even moving the ball better tan Zaheer. He is trying to get back in the team. But once he gets back he will start bowling at a lesser speed of 130km. This is what Pathan and Munaf did. I guess they just don't have the stamina to consistently bowl at 140 to 145 km in every match (which RP Singh did in this match). VRV was touted as the quickest but he is bowling slower than RP. At least if they can move the ball at 140km in the air and off the pitch it makes a big difference. But it is easier said than done.

There are no batsman in the world ckicket to fill sachin's place in both of games (1 day and test). don't forget that, sachin is only by whom the best bowlwer's can't sleep in the night.

Sachin is no Bradman. I would say only Bradman's record is unmatchable. Other than that in cricket/batting records there is nothing like cant be done. Cricket is bigger than Sachin. Sachins come and go ...Cricket was there before Sachin and will be there after Sachin. I am sure there will be international batsmen as well as Indian batsmen who will be better than Sachin.
Btw, in the last 4-5 years, Dravid has done very well for India in test matches ..probably better than Sachin.

Idiotic Ganguly should never even smell captiancy even if India loses to bangladesh , he is the one who started partiality & egoisms in the team in recent times (starting on 2000) by blindly supporting certian successful people (harbhajan, yuvaraj, zaheer) and some unsuccessful (saba karim, deepdas gupta)

The biggest epidemic spreading in North and Eastern India especially in whole of Bengal is "Gangulli Syndrome" which has no cure found yet.

you are a curse to ur parents...disgrace to ur mother...speaking such harsh ruthless words, u sin against ur own parents and against God... ur future, for this statement and words, is cursed...keep close watch as big curse and trouble and pain and sickness is coming into ur life and thats the time, u shud rem'ber what statement and words u typed in here...
i think selectors should have called up ranadeb bose instead of ishant sharma...it looks like bose is at peak and we should use him..i dont know why selectors keep ignoring him
He bowls at 125 km/hr. the Gilchrists, haydens, smiths will whack him like anything. Donno why india always encourage these kind of bowlers. If he deserves a place in the team then he should be a allround..alas he is not. scott styris is a slow- medium, but he bats exceptionally. collingwood is slow-medium but he bats exceptionally. abdur-razzack is slow medium but he bats exceptionally. Andrew-hall is slow medium but he bats exceptionally. When will India learn from mistakes. They have encouraged venkatesh prasad who used to get the beating from afridi and jayasurya. He is spinner with a long run-up. He is our bowling coach and no wonder india will produce a long queue of bowlers like rp-singh who is neither a fast bowler nor a spinner. Mean while even countries like bangladesh will produce bowlers like Mortaza who not only bowls fast but scores fast.

Dude you need to understand that Venkatesh Prasad is our Bowling/Spinning coach!

India has to select the best available. Ofcourse we all wish we had the likes of Styris, Bond, Gilli, Razzak etc etc. But we cant select them as they are not Indians. Got it brainac?

Boss, Inspite Venkatesh prasad being a spinner with a longish run-up, he'z was india's spearhead along with srinath for so many years.. Boss it was his guile, his out-cutters, his slower ones, that is exceptional. Indians for long are known for their guile not pace. You cant ape evrything from the westerners. India cant produce Lees, Akthars n their ilk. We only produce, kapils, venkatesh prasads. I dont think ur a good reader of the game.

You are wrong Vishwanath . What about Srinath ? . He was a fast bowler . If they selectors just leave bowler alone and dont put shit in their head's all the time . Things will change for sure
I have seen club level players who can bowl fast . Its not about being well built it's about the action . I hope u know this part
RE:What is the pace of RP singh
by Rajat Singhal on May 22, 2007 07:42 AM
You are wrong.. I was watching the game.. RP Singh was consistently bowling between 135 and 145 Kmph..

No bowler in the India team can break the 85 mile per hour barrier consistently. Their average pace is 130 km. So if you guys can bowl like Tait, Bond and Lee why don't you go and bowl? The selectors will be very happy to have you in the India team.
