Well said Nandaji, You are absolutly right. one more information- when Dravid cannot find place in ODI team there is only and only GANGULY support him like any thing and keep him in the team as keeper also. If he wants he can give place to any Wicket keeper in place of Rahul. That time world knows them as THREE MUSKETIERS. Blosoom friend. and now you see Rahul... neither he got support from Junior or Sinior... tera kya hoga re Kalia(Dravedya)...
I pity at some fans and their blind affinity towards some bad performing players, and to prove their point they are using politics over the regions. Its a quite eunuch kinda act!

Both of these are selfish players. If you were watching the match you would have noticed what I say. They both were out there until they got their 100s. The moment the 100 was on board they just threw their wickets as if they don't give a dame. Now no body can blame them for not performing but what is the use of their 100 for India as a team????????? The benifit is only for these two OLD FOXES. They will hang around Indian cricket showing these two 100s for a nother 2 or 3 years. By that time the youngstesrs who are knoking at the door with ten thousand times better talent than these two will disappear. BACK TO SQUARE ONE.

For you kind information, both of them were instructed to go after the bowling after their hundreds..thaz y they perished..had they been selfish, they wud have gone on to make 150s..plz dont ridicule the efforts these 'old foxes' put in..we have see enuf of the 'young cows' who struggle to keep themselves fit after 6 months of international cricket..

Ganguly- 22 Centuries and 18 resulted in India winning. Dravid - 12 Centuries and 8 resulted in India winning. Sachin - 41 Centuries and 29 resulted in India winning.

The way you guys throw statistics makes every one to feel as though India has been winning game after game.
Let us not forget India could win only 6-8 Test matches for the past 30 years or so out of which 3-4 have been won during 1970s-80s.
How many of these victories contribute to Series victories? How many of these victories for which our super stars have contributed to Series wins?
Most of these victories are against mediocre opponents and in home conditions; otherwise meaningless centuries.
There is no point in scoring 100 against Australia after losing the series 4-0 and winning the last game!

Ganguly - 82% Dravid - 67% Sachin - 71%
If the figures are right and if you look at it percentage-wise then Ganguly is marginally ahead.
But suppose Dhoni had scored only one century and if that century had been responsible for a win then his percentage would be 100.
While percentages are usually helpful when comparing similar performances, what the above figures show is that Dravid was responsible only for 8 wins, Ganguly for 18 wins, while Tendulkar was reponsible for 29 wins.
According to Mr.Rahul Nanda the Man from the North was responsible for 18 wins while the Men from the South were responsible for 37 wins.
So who should shut up?
But anyway, this North and South comparison is nit-picking. What is more important is that three Indians were responsible for 55 wins.
But I do agree that Sachin, who provided me and other Indians with countless hours of exhilarating cricket, should retire gracefully. His body is not able to withstand the rigours of modern day cricket. His spirit might be willing but his body is saying no.

Please learn what cricket is about. Its not averages. When did Sachin or Ganguly face the new ball. Do they walk in on seaming wickets with new ball on the fall of first wicket. How many tests has sachin/ganguly won or even saved for India.
I think you know better who's got a better technique for swinging pace and also raising deliveries.

Hey Rahul you make some interesting points...but I have to say Dravid contribution in the test against Pakistan, England,West Indies and Now Bangladesh were very good. In South Africa he recieved 4/6 incorrect decisions so we have to cut him somt slack dere. Tendulkar recieved 3/6 so we can be fair on him too. Ganguly batted well in south Africa but he neva made a big big hundred and he hasnt for a long time. Test Cricket is not about 40-50's its bout getting a start and carrying on. In reply to your better batsman I think Laxman is Indias 2nd best batsmen (above Sachin) and he should be batting at 4. He cant produce runs quick so he needs to be up there and not stuck with the tail. For the benefit of the team I think we shoudl stop this Dravid vs Ganguly/Sachin feud. At the same time we should accept that Ganguly was a brilliant captain and batsman probably best in the world at one point, but hes nearly 35 and he looks it 2 (i.e not like sanath) If the west indies can let go of Lara, Pakistn of Inzi I think its time to accept his time is over. and regarding the SACK --> Selectors should be first in line. They slected the world cup team and this "young" current team. We have to accept win/loose India do not play the standard of cricket they should. bowling n batting is a abismal like the mid 90's
