A word of encouragement is all that young Karthik needs now. He has a good attitude and willingness to improve. That he has shouldered the responsibility to open the innings speaks highly of his attitude. Hope he will improve further in all aspects of the game and not be overwhelmed by adulation and praise. I wish him well.

first think where you are eligible to write...don't critisize all the time..each and every one in our team are highly talended..but now their bad time is running..they need our support..we should be with them in good and bad times..don't critisize when they need our support..when they are playing good we are enjoying each and every ball....we write their names each and every where..we keep them on the top of the hill.. but when they need our support we will ran away...especially with you like people..common guys..they have the ability..they need our support..show then that we are with them ..support them to play good cricket..

first of all it's not like they read these postings to get encouraged. i think it is wrong to think people like me join the bandwagon only when they are doing well. It is a game played by professionals. We as spectators are right in demanding that these professionals play to the best of their ability consistantly so that we can watch a hardly fought game. Win or lose is just the result.
It's callous on part of some people like the one before you to get irked simply when they dont like what they read. Simply childish to call names and go into personal attack. I respect your opinion but I do differ.
Its good that youngsters like Karthik has been given a chance and he perform in a demanding situation where another opener throw wicket on first ball. We need a consistent performance from opening pair to take stress out of 3rd , 4th slot. When opening spell pressure is neutralized its easy for the line up to boost total score. And at the same , give more chances to this pair before taking decision. Both are young , i am sure they will learn from their mistakes .

I totally agree with you but I think the opening pair should have one experienced player like tendulkar, lakshman, or ganguly. That will put some pressure on the bowlers. I personally think they should have paired yuvraj or lakshman with karthik.
This is beyond my understanding as to why Dhoni is being played in test matches , he is a stroke player and hitter(though on subcontinent pitches only). Dinesh karthik is a wicket keeper so If he keeps the wicket and opens we have another slot open in the middle order where , Yuvraj singh or Laxman could play.

Very true, its either they dont have the same confidence in Karthik's keeping abilities or Yuvraj & Laxman's batting abilities, there are 5 standard bolwers & 2 part timers in Sachin & Sourav,

The reason may be, actually, karthik opened the innings and kept wickets in the test against SA....but in second innings he didnt open, instead sehwag opened... Then during presentation ceremony dravid said, karthik is also keeping wickets so they didnt wanna strain him much in hot condition so sehwag opened the innings instead of karthik..same goes here, dhoni keeps wickets and karthik opened the innings....but definitly yuvi or laxman should have played instead of any one of the five bowlers.....Ur comments on this view pls...

Dhoni is not just a stroke player. We all know he has potential to adapt any position from opener to 5th down. Tendulkar was a stroke player when he started but he had more potential and therefore, he is both stroke player and very good test player. I think Dhoni is on the same track. Just give him some time and hopefully we will have new tendulkar in INDIA

I agree with you on this, surya. Karthik will learn the art of being scared if he takes advice from the 'senior'

Definitely true... That young chap is fearless.... but once he speask with his seniors..... he will become a cat from a tiger.... i still can see that fear in the eyes of the great seniors in the worldcup. unforgiveable.... (I am not saying about losing, but losing like cowards without giving fight)
