erratic calculation
by jess on May 12, 2007 09:34 AM

This lacks one thing. how important the runs or wickets taken was to the final outcome ie victory or loss . this really gives value to the efforts notjut ruuns or wickets
another area is missed chances: eg.if a fielder let out a catch a certain wicket? why should the bowler suffer?

Hi All,

Stop watching this non-sense cricket series. Let them go and win against aussies and other strong teams.

Pressure
by SunilB on May 12, 2007 02:29 AM

This is sheer nonsense! Sehwag and Gambhir are expected to score more than 20-30 runs, even at less than a 100 % strike-rate. It's not enough that you score 30 off 21 balls and then gets out to stupid shots, especially when the asking rate is only slghtly more than 5 per over. Look at the Aussie openers. To rank Sehwag at 64 % does not do justice to his performance which was well below par. Pressure on him would have been less than that on Dravid or Mongia who came in when quick wickets had fallen.

Rediff
Something good you are doing. Please do the same for Cricket year wise like for 2007-08.
So we may know who all performed consistently over large period of time.

But bring the link to this page on main page specially when series is on...

and can you please do the MVP for last one year.
i.e. from July-2006 till WC which player standed where ????? It will show the fans where Sachin and Sourav standed along with sehwag and Dravid. It will also show how BCCI selection was unfair.

I think, Zaheer gets an extra point because he had a hand in a run out

don't under estimate zaheer after just one match. here the problem starts, you don't have sportsman ship. why don'y you watch australian bowler shaun tait was bowling in world cup he was hitted by all the batsman but ponting was having faith in him. zaheer is not a small kid okayyyyyyyyyy

PLEASE LET US ALL UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THE FACT, MR.ZAHEER KHAN DOES NOT HAVE IN HIM WHAT NEEDS TO BE AN FAST BOWLER, LEAVE ALONE INTERNATIONAL CRICKET. COMMON MEN CANT DIGEST THE LOGIC OF HAVING MR.KHAN IN THE TEAM AGAIN AND EVER. ATLEAST AFTER 6-8 YEARS THE SO CALLED A BUNCH OF BUFFOONS UNDERSTOOD THE FACT ON MR.AGARKAR (BLUE EYED BOY OF SELECTORS) AND MR. NON SPINNER - HARBHAJAN SINGH. PLEASE LET ZAHEER KHAN BE BROUGHT BACK TO INDIA. INVEST IN IRFAN, HE IS THE ONE FOR THE FUTURE.PLAYING AROUND WITH TALENT HAS REACHED THE MAX IN WORLD CUP... MORE EX TO FOLLOW.... PLS FELLOW INDIANS BE A LITTLE BIT MORE LOGICAL IN YOUR THOUGHT PROCESSES.

hey buddy! how u? nowdays, its not the pace that counts for fast bowlers. definition is changed, otherwise mcgreth & pollock would had been kicked out a long time ago. have a look in recent past, its zaheer who had been bowling well consistently. and its not one man game, there r another 4 bowlers who need to do job. if u make judgements on basis of a match, then cricket is certainly not yur cup of tea.
