Please go out into the field and practise your game. Thats the problem with India. Everyone is a Pundit. From the 7 year old smartass kid to his portly executive dad to the neighborhood Paanwalla/Bhajiwala/rickshaw-wala to the 80 yr old grandpa who shakes his head disapprovingly and talks about the era of 'past-greats'.
Don,t worry sachin I am always with u.The people who have no work & jeolous to u are making such type of bad comments.YOU ARE THE JENIOUS & ALWAYS REMAIN SO.... the people r so ungrateful to him that now the india's best batsman have to prove himself. These all ex-players are always backing horses for courses. Now many cricketers retire after being just 30yrs but Sachin is banking on his legacy and moneypower. So no selector or coach can touch him. Just like Lara he will ruin the Indian team completely and then only retire. Some time ago he said that he is not interested in Captaincy but now everybody knows why he made India lose the WC07. He wants captaincy 3rd time just like Lara and team is already tottering. He will play for himself and claim he played for team. Now it is all open that all selectors knew about his aspirations of captaincy and Vengaskar also being his 2nd mentor -Gavaskar is first- had appointed him as vice-captain so that he can be captain again. Sachin declared that no coach or manager could even doubt his integrity to team but now all selectors and others saying about true nature. So he should apologize to team and nation and not the BCCI which is most incompetent board. English board could reprimand and punish their former captain and star player but BCCI cant do anything.
I think some of the rediff users do not use their brain at all while making comments on Cricket and on anything related to it. On one hand they talk about the inclusion of Youngsters (as young as 17 years) and on the other hand they talk about emulating the Aussies (Australian team does not have even a single player whose age is less than 24!). Senseless people must understand that it will be a foolishness to select a youngster based on his performance in one season; infact, this has always been the problem with the Indian selectors. Consistency in first class cricket should be the criteria; the player must have atleast 3 or 4 years of consistent performance (in the first class cricket) to boast about. As a matter of fact, this is the criteria on which an Aussie is selected in the (Australian) team. Moreover, I wonder how many people realize that only 3 Indian ODI players are above 30 (two of them do not even figure in the Bangla tour). Besides the big three, everyone is below 30. So, does it make any sense to argue that youngsters should be given a chance when the fact remains that the team is full of youngsters? It is so ridiculous to note such nonsensical arguments being made even by former cricketers like Mohinder Amarnath, without checking the facts.
